Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson has been fired from the reality program following his controversial remarks in GQ magazine regarding homosexuality.
A+E Networks, parent company of A&E, has released the following statement to Variety:
We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertsons comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and are not reflected in the series Duck Dynasty. His personal views in no way reflect those of A+E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community.
Another manifestation of Gay Power. They are soon gonna have a Homo Hoedowm!
Unfortunately, even if Robertson were reinstated, the show would never be the same. (For the record, I myself have never watched it.) People would be looking at Robertson differently; this whole thing puts him in an uncomfortable spotlight.
It’s like a teacher being wrongly accused of rape, then cleared. Even though innocent, he’ll always carry that history with him.
lol really? The Blaze is looking for programming and these guys MAY need a home... Have you actually watched the Blaze? It looks like it would be a good fit for DD...
Beck is a capitalist... Nothing wrong with him making a pitch when the time is right and that time is NOW...
I hear the Robertsons, who have been catapulted to A-list celebrity status by the
success of Duck Dynasty, have been able to secure the big salary increases they had
been seeking. Ive learned that under the new agreement, the clan will earn more than
$200,000 an episode, divvied up among the nine adults and 11 kids on the show. That is
roughly 4-5 times what the Robertsons previously made. Additionally, I hear the new
pact includes additional seasons for the show as well as series/cast options. The Robertsons
started conversations with A&E and series producer Gurney Prods. in early 2013, delaying
the shows fourth season. Duck Dynasty eventually went into production, and a fourth season
premiere date was set, all while negotiations were ongoing. A&E and WME, which reps the Robertsons,
had no comment.

Now the NAACP has weighed in on what Phil Robertson said about his experience with blacks in the old Jim Crow South, saying none of them displayed any animus toward whites, and didn’t ‘sing the blues.’ I guess no blacks were supposed to be happy living their lives as they did.
Hope so
Yes I just read their statement, FANTASTIC, am glad you were right
Whoa....I've been away for a bit and missed it. I'll have to check it out. Thanks!
My kids and their generation get mad at me when I tell them that I really think it is wrong. Their generation seems to tolerate all behavior no matter how wrong it is. It’s sad for our country.
Did I do that?
They don’t tolerate a long of things that are normal and good.
Well, that’s pretty cool! It’s still ticking up, over 38,500 compare to not even 200 against. :o)
If the toughest thing you can think of is hellfire then you do not know squat about heaven.
Of course it was bound to happen -— a man in Brazil plans to marry his goat.

Cancelled mine 2 years ago. Don’t miss it. Merry Christmas!
I canceled mine in 1989. Shortly after that, I stopped watching all of the old media news monopoly sources. Then came, the liberating news from the internet, talk radio, and Fox to bust the old monopoly into a thousand pieces. Thank God.
LOL! I didn’t go to the article! It is so interesting how this has become a major news topic, as really, well it should!
