Confirmed: The Obama DHS hit job on conservatives is real

Yesterday, Roger Hedgecock and the Liberty Papers posted an unclassified DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis report titled:

Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment.

The “report” was one of the most embarrassingly shoddy pieces of propaganda I’d ever read out of DHS. I couldn’t believe it was real.

I spent the day chasing down DHS spokespeople, who have been tied up preparing for a very important homeland security event later today: The First Lady is coming to visit their Washington office. Priorities, you know.

Well, the press office got back to me and verified that the document is indeed for real.

They were very defensive — preemptively so — in asserting that it was not a politicized document and that DHS had done reports on “leftwing extremism” in the past. I have covered DHS for many years and am quite familiar with past assessments they and the FBI have done on animal rights terrorists and environmental terrorists. But those past reports have always been very specific in identifying the exact groups, causes, and targets of domestic terrorism, i.e., the ALF, ELF, and Stop Huntingdon wackos who have engaged in physical harassment, arson, vandalism, and worse against pharmaceutical companies, farms, labs, and university researchers.

By contrast, the piece of crap report issued on April 7 is a sweeping indictment of conservatives. And the intent is clear. As the two spokespeople I talked with on the phone today made clear: They both pinpointed the recent “economic downturn” and the “general state of the economy” for stoking “rightwing extremism.” One of the spokespeople said he was told that the report has been in the works for a year. My b.s. detector went off the chart, and yours will, too, if you read through the entire report — which asserts with no evidence that an unquantified “resurgence in rightwing extremist recruitment and radicalizations activity” is due to home foreclosures, job losses, and…the historical presidential election.

In Obama land, there are no coincidences. It is no coincidence that this report echoes Tea Party-bashing left-wing blogs (check this one out comparing the Tea Party movement to the Weather Underground!) and demonizes the very Americans who will be protesting in the thousands on Wednesday for the nationwide Tax Day Tea Party.

From the report, p.2:

Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.

From the report. p. 3:

(U//LES) Rightwing extremists are harnessing this historical election as a recruitment tool. Many rightwing extremists are antagonistic toward the new presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions on firearms ownership and use. Rightwing extremists are increasingly galvanized by these concerns and leverage them as drivers for recruitment. From the 2008 election timeframe to the present, rightwing extremists have capitalized on related racial and political prejudices in expanded propaganda campaigns, thereby reaching out to a wider audience of potential sympathizers.

(U) Exploiting Economic Downturn

(U//FOUO) Rightwing extremist chatter on the Internet continues to focus on the economy, the perceived loss of U.S. jobs in the manufacturing and construction sectors, and home foreclosures. Anti-Semitic extremists attribute these losses to a deliberate conspiracy conducted by a cabal of Jewish “financial elites.” These “accusatory” tactics are employed to draw new recruits into rightwing extremist groups and further radicalize those already subscribing to extremist beliefs. DHS/I&A assesses this trend is likely to accelerate if the economy is perceived to worsen.

From the report, p. 5:

(U//FOUO) Over the past five years, various rightwing extremists, including militias and white supremacists, have adopted the immigration issue as a call to action, rallying point,
and recruiting tool. Debates over appropriate immigration levels and enforcement policy generally fall within the realm of protected political speech under the First Amendment, but in some cases, anti-immigration or strident pro-enforcement fervor has been directed against specific groups and has the potential to turn violent.

And echoing the anti-military bigotry last seen in that disgusting Penn State University training video, there’s this on p. 7:

(U) Disgruntled Military Veterans

(U//FOUO) DHS/I&A assesses that rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to exploit their skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat. These skills and knowledge have the potential to boost the capabilities of extremists—including lone wolves or small terrorist cells—to carry out violence. The willingness of a small percentage of military personnel to join extremist groups during the 1990s because they were disgruntled, disillusioned, or suffering from the psychological effects of war is being replicated today.

There’s no hackneyed left-wing stereotype of conservatives left behind in this DHS intelligence and analysis assessment. I asked both DHS spokespeople to tell me who, specifically, the report was accusing of “rightwing extremist chatter” and which “antigovernment” groups are being monitored as “extremists.” They say they’ll get back to me.

In the meantime, be aware of this from the report, p. 8:

(U//FOUO) DHS/I&A will be working with its state and local partners over the next several months to ascertain with greater regional specificity the rise in rightwing extremist activity in the United States, with a particular emphasis on the political, economic, and social factors that drive rightwing extremist radicalization.

Better make a few last-minute signs for the Tea Party. Obama’s DHS is watching:

Honk if you’re a radicalized rightwing extremist!

Guilty of rightwing extremist chatter

Anti-government, pro-freedom: Sue me

I forgot to add one more “surely”. “Surely” I didn’t need to add a sarcasm tag at the end of my comment. ;)

As for Obama’s “that wasn’t a bow”. I watched that video several times and even hit “pause” so I could watch it in slow motion. I have absolutely no doubt that Obama bowed and then lied about it. I don’t appreciate being taken for a fool.

just look at Obama voters, they are completely stupid who see no other side to any situation.

they just are totally lost and seem to not have a brain

When watching 0bama speeches, I notice how his worshipers frequently applaud and cheer before he even completes his thought or sentence. They are riding an emotional tide rather than assessing the content of his statements. It's frightening.

To true American citizens this is a badge of honor. The Marxist/communist machine within the US federal government attacks the main stream United States citizens. They attack because we believe in God which is freedom of religion, country which is American Sovereignty, secured borders which is legal immigration and the American family.

Clearly the Marxist/communist propagandist, again inside the federal government have to take and protect the opposite side, the pure destruction of all things American. God, country and family are no longer welcome in the Marxist view of America. Demoralizing the enemy has been a strategy of war since the first rock was thrown. This is an intimidation tactic. If anyone had any doubts about what our governments intention is, this should clear all question marks.

This government document is a declaration of war by the Marxists in government on 58 million plus Armed United States citizens. This is absolutely stunning. The Marxist have placed the United States Soldier and Veterans of Wars, Air Force, Army, Marine and Navy personnel directly in the cross hairs. I would suspect that the Marxist can not compete with the soldier’s oath to the United States Constitution.

Clearly, the United States government has been and still maintains a state of anarchy. Lawlessness is dominate in Washington D.C. Where is that birth certificate again?

"When watching 0bama speeches, I notice how his worshipers frequently applaud and cheer before he even completes his thought or sentence."

It's called a "Cult of Personality." There are a few historical precedents, none of which ended well. In the case of Stalin, at meetings and speeches people became afraid to be the first ones to stop applauding him. Eventually they installed a light (actually colored lights which told the audience when applause was allowed and when it had to stop) at the podium which Stalin could turn off when he felt the applause could end and everybody stopped together.

In the spirit of Jeff Foxworthy's “...you might be a redneck...” I submit my ideas for tea party signs. I am making a flier with quotes from the report and links to distribute in Denver also.

Do you disagree with Obama’s policies?
You might be a Right Wing Extremist!

Did you lose your home or job?
You might be a Right Wing Extremist!

Did you buy a gun or ammo recently?
You might be a Paranoid Right Wing Extremist!

Do you respect the 10th amendment to the Constitution?
You might be a Right Wing Extremist!

Are you opposed to abortion?
You might be a Right Wing Extremist!

Are you a veteran with combat skill?
You might be a Right Wing Extremist!

Do you respect the 2nd amendment to the Constitution?
You might be a Right Wing Extremist!

Are you against illegal immigration?
You might be a Right Wing Extremist!

Are you against a “New World Order”?

I don’t know if I would exactly call Prince Alaweed bailed out, Citi stock went from 54 to below 1, so yeah Citi is still in business but that investment is still a disaster.

This is BS. I'm not scared a bit. Tell those leftwingers to bring it on. They will not suppress my love for this country, not now nor tomorrow.

This is just a lame attempt to scare the real pussies in this party and I am certain alot of you will be scared.

This guy looks worse and worse as time goes on:

bowing to the Saudi Sheik

accusing America of being arrogant to foreigners

Stating America is no longer a Christian Country

Recognizing Fidel Castro and his regime

Congratulating a Commie on winning an election in Central America

Trying to run American corporations

Plotting to overthrow the First and Second Amendments.

And now, using the Department of Homeland Security against political opponents.

Even by traditional liberal Democrat Standards, this guy is an extremist.

Do you think the prince would fail without the bailout? Don’t you think he would survive better than millions of Americans are right now?

He has plenty of money to prop up Citi without any taxpayer dollars. He also has a lot to say about the CEO and that he speaks to him all the time and he thought he would head the company in the right direction. So put your money where your mouth is prince. Regardless whether you think he was bailed out or not, Half of something is more than nothing. Would you rather lose all of the retirement or 45%?

Taxpayers are losing their jobs, unable to pay their health insurance premiums, medical bills, car payments, house payments and companies are closing. CITI is still there funding La Raza and who knows what else. The prince owns shares of Fox news and CNN and is wealthy beyond belief. He woud have survived much better than Americans and corporations are right now.

Of course he wouldn’t but do you actually think the government could let Citi fail ? Do you have any idea of the true financial armegedon that would have taken place ? Especially after the market went to hell in a hand basket after they let Lehman fail. Lehman was nothing compared to Citi, not to mention the fact that Citi operates as a major financial institution globally, in many countries they are the major bank through their subsidiaries. People act like the Prince owns Citi, the largest shareholders in Citi were probably the employees and asset managers, so the government bailed them out too. Citi going under would have caused the same financial meltdown as the massive withdrawls you were referring to.

I spent considerable time in Europe during the 80’s and Iceland along with Ireland are a couple of the places I regret not getting to visit. Your observation concerning the tastes of many Europeans as to Obama is just a real world example of birds of a feather flocking together. The thing I noticed most about Europe is the pessimism that is prevalent in the population. When you remove the incentive to be productive that is what happens. I have no doubt that though our countrys situation may look dire at the moment and might get worse there will always be a tomorrow for America. I base that belief not on anything the media says but on the eternal fire of optimism that is the American way.
