Confirmed: The Obama DHS hit job on conservatives is real

Yesterday, Roger Hedgecock and the Liberty Papers posted an unclassified DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis report titled:

Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment.

The “report” was one of the most embarrassingly shoddy pieces of propaganda I’d ever read out of DHS. I couldn’t believe it was real.

I spent the day chasing down DHS spokespeople, who have been tied up preparing for a very important homeland security event later today: The First Lady is coming to visit their Washington office. Priorities, you know.

Well, the press office got back to me and verified that the document is indeed for real.

They were very defensive — preemptively so — in asserting that it was not a politicized document and that DHS had done reports on “leftwing extremism” in the past. I have covered DHS for many years and am quite familiar with past assessments they and the FBI have done on animal rights terrorists and environmental terrorists. But those past reports have always been very specific in identifying the exact groups, causes, and targets of domestic terrorism, i.e., the ALF, ELF, and Stop Huntingdon wackos who have engaged in physical harassment, arson, vandalism, and worse against pharmaceutical companies, farms, labs, and university researchers.

By contrast, the piece of crap report issued on April 7 is a sweeping indictment of conservatives. And the intent is clear. As the two spokespeople I talked with on the phone today made clear: They both pinpointed the recent “economic downturn” and the “general state of the economy” for stoking “rightwing extremism.” One of the spokespeople said he was told that the report has been in the works for a year. My b.s. detector went off the chart, and yours will, too, if you read through the entire report — which asserts with no evidence that an unquantified “resurgence in rightwing extremist recruitment and radicalizations activity” is due to home foreclosures, job losses, and…the historical presidential election.

In Obama land, there are no coincidences. It is no coincidence that this report echoes Tea Party-bashing left-wing blogs (check this one out comparing the Tea Party movement to the Weather Underground!) and demonizes the very Americans who will be protesting in the thousands on Wednesday for the nationwide Tax Day Tea Party.

From the report, p.2:

Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.

From the report. p. 3:

(U//LES) Rightwing extremists are harnessing this historical election as a recruitment tool. Many rightwing extremists are antagonistic toward the new presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions on firearms ownership and use. Rightwing extremists are increasingly galvanized by these concerns and leverage them as drivers for recruitment. From the 2008 election timeframe to the present, rightwing extremists have capitalized on related racial and political prejudices in expanded propaganda campaigns, thereby reaching out to a wider audience of potential sympathizers.

(U) Exploiting Economic Downturn

(U//FOUO) Rightwing extremist chatter on the Internet continues to focus on the economy, the perceived loss of U.S. jobs in the manufacturing and construction sectors, and home foreclosures. Anti-Semitic extremists attribute these losses to a deliberate conspiracy conducted by a cabal of Jewish “financial elites.” These “accusatory” tactics are employed to draw new recruits into rightwing extremist groups and further radicalize those already subscribing to extremist beliefs. DHS/I&A assesses this trend is likely to accelerate if the economy is perceived to worsen.

From the report, p. 5:

(U//FOUO) Over the past five years, various rightwing extremists, including militias and white supremacists, have adopted the immigration issue as a call to action, rallying point,
and recruiting tool. Debates over appropriate immigration levels and enforcement policy generally fall within the realm of protected political speech under the First Amendment, but in some cases, anti-immigration or strident pro-enforcement fervor has been directed against specific groups and has the potential to turn violent.

And echoing the anti-military bigotry last seen in that disgusting Penn State University training video, there’s this on p. 7:

(U) Disgruntled Military Veterans

(U//FOUO) DHS/I&A assesses that rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to exploit their skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat. These skills and knowledge have the potential to boost the capabilities of extremists—including lone wolves or small terrorist cells—to carry out violence. The willingness of a small percentage of military personnel to join extremist groups during the 1990s because they were disgruntled, disillusioned, or suffering from the psychological effects of war is being replicated today.

There’s no hackneyed left-wing stereotype of conservatives left behind in this DHS intelligence and analysis assessment. I asked both DHS spokespeople to tell me who, specifically, the report was accusing of “rightwing extremist chatter” and which “antigovernment” groups are being monitored as “extremists.” They say they’ll get back to me.

In the meantime, be aware of this from the report, p. 8:

(U//FOUO) DHS/I&A will be working with its state and local partners over the next several months to ascertain with greater regional specificity the rise in rightwing extremist activity in the United States, with a particular emphasis on the political, economic, and social factors that drive rightwing extremist radicalization.

Better make a few last-minute signs for the Tea Party. Obama’s DHS is watching:

Honk if you’re a radicalized rightwing extremist!

Guilty of rightwing extremist chatter

Anti-government, pro-freedom: Sue me

Extremely well said!   You've hit the nail on the head!

It must be done swiftly!

Who or what group would be able to do this effectively on behalf of the Constitution?

Expect false flag operations at the TEA Parties culminating with something big on April 19th.

What is a "false flag operation"?

From Michelle's link: "out comparing the Tea Party movement to the Weather Underground!) "

"At the moment I have not heard of any proposed illegal behavior by this movement, but it does seem to me that they are in the early stages of revolutionary activity. This Wednesday may just be about "Tea Parties," but can bomb-throwing be far behind? After all, some of these same people have advocated wiping the Middle East off the map. They've assassinated (or applauded the assassination) of doctors who perform legal abortions. They've made threats (or defended those who made threats) against the President of the United States.

mmmmmm....one has to wonder if this genius isn't the source of the DHS Report. Wouldn't surprise me if he's some kind of 'citizen' field operative. As someone stated earlier, this is DEFINITELY Tea Party reading. Heads up folks...this isn't JUST hate/fear mongering speech, it is what they think of us and want the media to portray.

Can be busted. And they’ve got the biggest, best computers.

"They" can bust one way 32 bit encryption? I doubt it seriously. Besides that encrypted messages don't set off those word filter alarms.

There is no way that any government agency put together a report like this in a few days. This likely started well before this administration emerged.

The term ‘New World Order’ has been around a while. The current administration is just making things more obvious than the previous. True Americans have been under attack far longer than a few months and partially by the political party they have endorsed.

Perceived Threat from Rise of Other Countries
(U//FOUO) Rightwing extremist paranoia of foreign regimes could escalate or be magnified in the event of an economic crisis or military confrontation, harkening back to the “New World Order” conspiracy theories of the 1990s. The dissolution of Communist countries in Eastern Europe and the end of the Soviet Union in the 1990s led some rightwing extremists to believe that a “New World Order” would bring about a world government that would usurp the sovereignty of the United States and its Constitution, thus infringing upon their liberty.

Um, isn't that what all the G20 news was about, hailing a bonafide and right-out-in-the-open "New World Order"? (Only they've dropped the quotation marks which used to indicate it was only a hypothetical bogeyman from the imaginations of conspiracy theorists.) Obama has already indicated he will subjugate our sovereignty and Constitutionally guaranteed liberties to world bodies like the U.N., the IMF and an international judicial panel. So why are they acting as though reality is only the realm of those crazy right-wing extremists? I am befuddled.

The ultimate “false flag operation” is still the Reichstag Fire, done by the Nazis in order to blame the German communists, in order to crack down on all political opposition.

In the context of the “tea parties,” left wing blogs and websites are already discussing ways to disrupt them. Expect racist posters etc, or people dressed as the “White Nazi Tea Party Militia” etc.

The MSM will cover these loons in complete gullible sincerity, playing these “false flag” disruptors as 100% legit.

“It is very inflammatory, likely to provoke precisely the behavior it claims to spotlight. The devil himself could not have designed a more potent social explosive.”

It’s hate speech and fear mongering, surely meant to assist in inflaming any reaction we might have to bullying at Tea Parties. While the protesters are preparing themselves to ‘deal with it’ and while Im hopeful for peaceful events, I think the question is, in the end, can/will We The People take back our country with anything short of the “behavior it claims to spotlight” ?

Here are my thoughts on the subject.

I had the chance to read this document yesterday and I knew from the start that it wasn't a fake.It was for real.

The blog, No Compromises When You're Right had this to say about this document. "Let the real terrorists go and target innocent civilians based on their political leanings! Bastard Markist Gub'ment!"

I'm afraid the Obama adminstration is treading on very dangerously thin ice with this B.S. and C.F. this kind of nonsense was pulled by the state of Missouri and we all know what happened after that didn't we.

I think Homeland Security is really biting off a lot more than they can chew here. Smearing people just becuase you don't like what they stand for simply is not the way to run a country.

You would have thought these clowns and goonies would know better than this but obviously that's not the case here. I think we all better watch our backs.

Regards......

It is foreign to America for “Love of Country” and “Patriotism” to suddenly be morphed into being “Subversive”.

It certainly is Orwellian to say “Patriotism” is now “Subversive”. My question is what is it subversive of? Subversive of the Constitution or subversive of those who wish to destroy this nation.

My thoughts are that they can only “tease the dragon’s tail so long before getting singed.”

Re: false-flag operations

Liberal and other opposition groups are being "instructed" to infiltrate Tea Parties pretending to be conservatives, volunteering for media interviews as "conservatives" while spewing caricaturish anti-government, racist, violent, separatist phrases to make the genuine tax-protesters look bad. If they can incite violence with the police or cause mayhem, so much the better. Any Tea Party attendees would be well-advised to watch out for any of these false-flag agitators. The gubmint is just looking for an excuse to "be proven right" so it can crack down on the opposition (us).

The Bama administration is bending over backwards NOT to call Islamic terrorist “terrorist!” Americans on the other hand are certainly terrorist if they support God, their Bible, and the Constitution.

Keep your powder dry.

no one listened much because we knew we were in favor with the king.

Now that an evil king is in power, those new powers to spy and accuse are being used against his political enemies, and it is us.

Hillary had over 1800 FBI files and no one even got arrested, let alone went to jail.

Now, the Obamanazis have the Patriot Act and control all 3 houses of government: This is an Ill Wind
