Oregon and Washington actually have a lot of conservatives, they live in the rural areas. The two states have been polluted with leftists in the last 20 years or so but still have strong (somewhat) conservative rural areas. Lots of natural resources and coastal ports too.

Propogandize that guns are bad and evil, well then, a segment of the population that they propogandize believe it....and they won’t touch a gun. Makes less people available to try to take guns from people like you.

Not counting the 'foreign element'. Why would countries like Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, Mexico not send some "yutes" into the US to help out? Hell ... China, NK and Russia could send enough soldiers dressed as civilians to keep it going for a long time.
