BOYCOTT!
1/13/09 | Cymry8

Posted on 01/13/2009 6:02:57 AM PST by cymry8

It looks as though the USSC or for that matter any of our elected representatives are going to do anything to call into question Barrack Obama's foreign national status. So, it's up to us (American Citizens) to apply the pressure to get them to take notice. We can BOYCOTT any spending on luxury/non-essential items. This will get the governments attention. Pay your bills but don't spend your tax refund, don't spend your stimulus payment. Call in to local radio talk shows.......you know the drill. If it's good enough for Jesse Jackson, then it is certainly good enough for us in this NOBLE cause.

Eve never got new cushy socks either.
The horrors.

That's what drove her to eat from the Tree of Knowledge and to talk Adam into doing the same.

It was really all about the socks.

I thought about it and I am convinced this is the right thing to do. So, today I will not buy the following luxury items:

a new yacht - the old one is still working.
a new Mercedes - BUY AMERICAN! I will buy another Suburban instead.
diamonds and gold - no room in the mansion today. Maybe I'll dung out some of the old diamonds and gold- make room for tomorrow's acquisitions.
beach house - DuhOh ... it's like 30-degrees outside today.
race horses - who needs the vet bills?

So, I'm in. Good idea.

Here is one that my Father-in-law just loves to get stuck in my head.

composed in 1944 by Fred Heatherton

Down at an english fair one evening I was there
When I heard a showman shouting underneath the flair

I’ve got a lovely bunch of coconuts
There they are all standing in a row
Big ones, small ones, some as big as your head
Give them a twist a flick of the wrist
That’s what the showman said

I’ve got a lovely bunch of coconuts
Every ball you throw will make me rich
There stands my wife, the idol of me life
Singing roll a bowl a ball a penny a pitch
Roll a bowl a ball a penny a pitch
Roll a bowl a ball a penny a pitch
Roll a bowl a ball, roll a bowl a ball
Singing roll a bowl a ball a penny a pitch

I’ve got a lovely bunch of coconuts (they’re lovely)
There they are all standing in a row (one, two, three, four)
Big ones, small ones, some as big as your head (and bigger)
Give them a twist a flick of the wrist
That’s what the showman said

I’ve got a lovely bunch of coconuts
Every ball you throw will make me rich
There stands my wife, the idol of me life
Singing roll a bowl a ball a penny a pitch (all together now)
Roll a bowl a ball a penny a pitch (harmony)
Roll a bowl a ball a penny a pitch
Roll a bowl a ball, roll a bowl a ball
Singing roll a bowl a ball a penny a pitch

My wife sings this one to our daughter at times:

I've never heard that one. Macabre and with a moral. Kind of like Grimm's Fairy Tales. ;-)

Easy for you to say, but my borogoves are all mimsy and I'm using my stimulus check to fix them.

I guess you elitist snobs don't need to deal with real life like the rest of us do.

.

Odd thread!

Want to boycott effectively?

Make a simple list of all the groups and cliches that traditionally vote against your personal, political, and financial interests

Those that vote 70% to 110% (We know from results in Minnesota, Washington State, Philly, etc.) for the left

Don’t buy from them!

Don’t listen to them!

Don’t talk to them!

Stay out of their businesses, stores, online site businesses

Defund your enemies

Quit say “my liberal friend does not agree....”

Dump them!

Ignore them!

Patronize only those who agree with your political, personal, religious, financial, social agendas and beliefs

They cannot call yoy bigots or anti-whatevers if you disappear from their world!

Otherwise you become like MCCain, Bush, Shays, etc - “We must convert them!”

That has not worked out too well

Do not feed the animals!
