Hillary Now Leader at MoveOn White House Protest: "Freepers Should be Shot"
Friday, September 9, 2005 | Kristinn

Posted on 09/08/2005 11:26:04 PM PDT by kristinn

Byron York of The National Review had a great article yesterday about the devolution of the MoveOn Katrina Victims protest at the White House.

Dana Milbank of the Washington Post also wrote about MoveOn's troubled demonstration.

However, apparently both these fine observers of the scene had departed when the worst part of the MoveOn protest happened.

As Angelwood and I stood talking and debating with malingering MoveOn protesters, a man standing about twenty or thirty feet away from us was giving an interview with an independent D.C. journalist.

I recognized the man as a long time liberal activist from Florida whom we had first met during the build up to the impeachment of President Clinton.

Then, he was defending Bill Clinton, now he's trying to draft his wife Hillary to run for president herself.

It took a while for the man's name to come to mind. It was Bob...something.

As he was giving the interview, the man became agitated and started speaking in a loud voice. He welled up into a tirade and blurted out, "FReepers should be shot!"

I was looking at him as he said this, as his loud voice was naturally drawing the attention of those within ever-growing earshot as his decibel level grew.

Knowing he was out on the political hustings and has been on TV shows and been quoted many times in the press, I asked him if he had just said that we (Freepers) should be shot . I thought maybe he'd take it back and try to excuse himself for being so worked up.

But no, he responded, "Yes, you should be shot!"

He walked away after that. The police did nothing.

Angelwood and I left soon after. The man's name finally came to me. Bob Kunst, president of Hillary Now.

I suppose he's lucky the TV cameras were long gone by then. But there is an audiotape. There was a microphone right in his face when he yelled out, "Freepers should be shot!"

From NRO...
Just then, a man walked up to Taylor and said, "If George Bush ate a baby, would you defend him?"

"That's absurd," Taylor answered.

"Well, that's kind of where you're at right now," the man said.

"So you're saying George Bush eats babies?" Taylor responded. "That's absurd. And it's exemplary of the mindset of the MoveOn crowd. These guys are so far out from reality, it's pathetic."

With that, Taylor began an impassioned, impromptu speech. "Now, please try to figure out what's going on in this country," he said, his voice booming. "There has been an enormous outpouring of goodwill from people on both sides of the political spectrum. You know, when those soldiers and national guardsmen go into the homes of the victims, they don't ask, are you Republican, are you Democrat. They ask, do you need help? What can we do to help you? I wish that this crowd out here would have the same attitude, because all you're doing is trying to tear the country apart for political purposes."

At that point, another man, a MoveOn protester, came up. Unlike the others, he wasn't angry, and, finally, things lightened up a bit.

"Do you think the protesters would be complaining about Bush's reaction if we weren't in Iraq?" the man asked.

"Yes," said Taylor.

"Why?"

"Because you hate him."

"So?" the man said with a shrug and little laugh of acknowledgment.

"Everything he does, for crying out loud," Taylor said.

"OK, I agree with that," the man said, laughing some more.

The honesty disarmed Taylor. "Well, thank you," he said, "that's the first honest thing I've heard out here today."

"Well, don't you think there's a reason we all hate him?" the man continued.

"Yes," Taylor answered. "Because you are all pathological in your hatred of him."

"Of course," the man said, as a few more people began laughing. "And why is that?"

"Because you're a bunch of loony liberals!" Taylor answered, as everyone cracked up.

I really do not believe that shooting anyone who does not believe as they do is beyond them.

The A-hole who called Cheney an A-hole was no doubt(Is that good tina07?, LOL) a dem op or activist to have known to use that phrase in that way.

I really think they are getting dangerous.

I saw Byron York's article today on NRO. If they'd had a link I'd have thanked him directly for his excellent article, and accurate quotations of one of my favorite Americans, you. But alas, NRO had no link to do that.

Thank you for the update on what happened after York left. You should ask for a copy of that tape of Bob Kunst threatening you and Angelwood (and the rest of us) with being shot. If the station/network won't give you a copy of that tape voluntarily, perhaps you can smoke it out of them by filing a complaint with the D.C, police that Kunst threatened to kill you, and tell them where the evidence is.

Don't forget to tell the police that you were "afraid for your life" because "Kunst is a powerful and potentially violent man." LOL.

Here's an immediate use you can make of his stupid remark. Make certain that every Freep from now on includes a clearly lettered sign that says:

"Freepers
Should
Be Shot!"
Says Bob Kunst
Head of HillaryNow

This sign, large and visible, will raise the point that one of Hillary!s main supporters believes that Americans should be shot for their political beliefs and statements. It's a small but harmful attack on Her Indescribable Holiness. Well worth the effort.

Thanks again for your excellent work.

Doug, please be kind enough to post that phone number. I'd like to give the lad a ringy-dingy and leave a polite message. Maybe I can get through to him by saying I'm a lawyer in North Carolina who's thinking about donating $50,000 to his organization.

Of course, what I'm thinking about it is its a REALLY bad idea. But I AM thinking about it. LOL.

That banner cost someone about $100. There is money getting thrown around like peanuts. A lot of that money is going into Mr. Kunst pockets. These lefties are like that: hoping the pyramid scheme will work to their benefit.

I hate to keep harping on this but, no, we don't.

WV Democrats, for one example, [the "backwoods boys"] have arsenals that would make you weep with envy.
[who do you think keeps voting Bob "Boyz In The Hoodz" Byrd into office?]

The Republican headquarters in Martinsburh WV was -shot up- during the 2004 campaign.

Whiny, pacifist, liberal, gun-hating Dems didn't do that.

In fact, most "hillbilly" Dems have guns and lots of them.

The Dem representing the district west of me is rabidly pro-gun as are all of the Dems who voted him in.

There are many pockets of "old style Democrats" who are tough, gun-loving hunters and shooters all over this country.

[and let's not forget that most thugs and gang-bangers vote Dem]

It wouldn't be nearly the cakewalk we think it would be and we should *never* underestimate the "enemy".

The liberal weenie, granola-chomping tree-hugging Dems are the "guns are bad" ones and they loudly represent only a small portion of actual Democrats.

Of course, the only solution to this political quandry is for *us* to have *more* guns than they do....:)

EXCERPT

(June 23, 2005)

Former ambassador gives a Hillary supporter the finger
It was hardly a diplomatic gesture that former Ambassador Martin Indyk made when he spotted Robert Kunst holding a sign promoting a 2008 Democratic ticket of Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.) and Joe Biden (Del.) last week.

According to Kunst, a Miami Beach businessman who has been conducting a two-year Clinton for President grassroots campaign via e-mail, Indyk gave him the finger as Kunst stood in front of the Brookings Institution, where Indyk, the former U.S. envoy to Israel in the Clinton administration, is a senior fellow.

“I was astounded,” Kunst said yesterday. “I wasn’t doing anything offensive. I thought what the hell is his problem? I was talking to a reporter and I said, ‘Did he just give me the finger?’ and he said, ‘Yes.’”

Kunst was holding a sign that said, “Dream Team? Hillary Clinton/Joe Biden in 2008,” while waiting for Biden, who was giving a speech at Brookings.

Kunst said Biden “gave me a thumbs-up,” but Kunst was still steaming over Indyk’s rude gesture. “I didn’t get this kind of nastiness last week from thousands of people who saw my sign in the Deep South,” he said.

Indyk did not respond to a request for comment.
