German and U.S. scientists have launched a project to reconstruct the Neanderthal genome, the Max-Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology said Wednesday.
The project, which involves isolating genetic fragments from fossils of the prehistoric beings who originally inhabited Europe, is being carried out at the Leipzig-based institute.

"Firstly, we will learn a lot about the Neanderthals. Secondly, we will learn a lot about the uniqueness of human beings. And thirdly, it's simply cool," Rubin said.

Thanks Val. This project is a pipe dream (and possibly just another pro-Replacement propaganda exercise) considering that the mtDNA supposedly from Neandertal cells amounted to fewer than 400 base pairs out of a presumed original 16,000 base pairs.

Do a Google search of "Neanderthal" and one will find this recent representation of a Neanderthal child --
The representation almost looks "human." I suspect most of what folks "know" about Neanderthals is from the brutish, lowbrow, hairy, savage that artists have chosen to draw.

I'm sorry, I'm not up on the latest techniques and technologies involved in gene sequencing. You've obviously uncovered serious technical issues with them, and I'd be interested in your findings. Yes, I know, I am not a genetic scientist or engineer therefore I am discredited and not able to have my opinion on the matter? While youre posting me to expose my lack of expertise here you are also missing out on the point I make. I do not trust that useful or valid information will flow from this other than to support a failed and flawed theory.

Good luck in your ever so delicate approach to a persons opinion.

Yours is the science of the supersticious, desert wandering, bronze age, goat herding, sandle wearers who wrote the 'science book' you base your 'theories' on. There's something ironic about attacking someone else's intelligence when you can't compose two plain-English sentences without multiple errors. I saw another example on here a few days ago, when someone was talking about how hard it would be for the "flat-earther" state of Kansas to "attact" high quality students who could think "rationaly."
If you want to dispute something, why not try it with discussion? It beats throwing darts at someone else's intelligence and revealing your own lack of it in the process.

Not necessary, already exists. Look at all the ego freaks who took an excess of steroids, then note their facial characteristics of Neanderthals?

The Neandertal Enigma
by James Shreeve
Frayer's own reading of the record reveals a number of overlooked traits that clearly and specifically link the Neandertals to the Cro-Magnons. One such trait is the shape of the opening of the nerve canal in the lower jaw, a spot where dentists often give a pain-blocking injection. In many Neandertal, the upper portion of the opening is covered by a broad bony ridge, a curious feature also carried by a significant number of Cro-Magnons. But none of the alleged 'ancestors of us all' fossils from Africa have it, and it is extremely rare in modern people outside Europe." [pp 126-127]
