Two-thirds of Americans believe the war in Iran has not been worth fighting.
A new AP-NORC poll found that roughly two-thirds of U.S. adults say the war that began Feb. 28 is not worthwhile. The sentiment is shared by the vast majority of Democrats (87%) and independents (68%), as well as 37% of Republicans.
The AP-NORC poll, conducted July 23-27, surveyed 1,165 adults and has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.7 percentage points.

Pres. Donald Trump very consistently labeled Iran a threat during his first administration. He described it as the “dominant Islamic power in the Middle East and on the road to nuclear weapons” and asserted it posed a risk of “nuclear holocaust.” His administration implemented a “maximum pressure” campaign (ie., economic warfare) involving over 1,500(!) sanctions, increased cooperation with regional allies, and withdrew from the JCPOA to counter Iran.
Additionally (you have to be dishonest to “forget” this one), Trump authorized multiple military strikes against Iranian-backed proxy groups during his first administration, marking a significant escalation from previous U.S. policy.
Yes praise Dear Leader and ignore what comes out of his mouth.
Agree. A half War is NEVER worth it.
How long do you think diesel will be over $5?
This poll suggests that people have lost sight of the pea, I believe. Good for Trump, in this regard.
The Ukraine is irrelevant. Europe is irrelevant. Lindsey Graham is still dead.
It’s Morning in America.
My hat is off to President Trump for riding the MIC/DS bronco bull!
So a nuclear Iran controlling Hormuz compares unfavorably to a conventionally equipped Germany controlling France?
Only a 30 year old can arrive at that sort of a conclusion.
As I said in Post #55 (weeks after the story came out) ... You can probably bet a month's salary that this episode happened exactly as reported.
I wouldn't believe the "New York Times" if they told me the sun came out this morning.
You’re a traitor and have been reported as a Leftist troll
So it clearly can't be about nuclear capabilities...
If there is a problem, let Israel, and the rest of concerned countries deal with it. Not like Saudi Arabia doesn't have plenty of cash to throw at the problem.
And the article linked there is an excerpt from a book at Haberman co-authored -- after spending hours interviewing Trump?
Are you implying that Trump lied back in 2025?
Iran’s Nuclear Facilities Have Been Obliterated — and Suggestions Otherwise are Fake News

Trump really does need to learn when to be quiet.
1165 sample? 338 approve of parole for David Berkowitz. 539 were WNBA fans in 2014. 1001 voted for Perot. 28 were fondle by FJB.
Trump has no problem talking to his enemies, and he knows full well they will lie, twist and deceive. He calls them out for it.
The point here is that people are hyping the "It's all for Israel!" and completely ignoring "We are on the firing line too!"
Yes, Israel benefits from our actions, but us not getting nuked because we wiped out Iran's nuke program, benefits us more.
“”I didn’t even mention the world valid. Or the word truthful.
But like it or not, they need to be considered a source in the media, if for nothing else because President talks to the Times and its reporters.
Whatever re: DU.””

You didn’t mention it... (valid or truthful)... I did in my response to Alberta’s Child’s comment...
““”Anyone who thinks Netanyahu is “controlling Trump” certainly has a legitimate basis for this.”””
You chimed in and seemingly defended AC’s use of NYT as if you ALSO consider AC’s comment sourcing the NYSlimes as the truth. So which is it? Do you think Netanyahu is controlling Trump or not?
I think it’s typical anti-Trump and anti-Israel/anti-Bibi BS and I, for one, am FTFU with seeing that crap posted here on an almost daily basis... and on a MAGA, pro-Trump, pro-Israel, Christian Conservative forum. That kind of commentary has NOTHING to do with the issue of whether or not we should post from the lying leftist propaganda sources. It’s when certain posters here agree with that BS that it becomes “the issue”.
Yes, we should post leftist sources here but NOT use them as truthful or valid sources to back up anti-Trump crap. It’s not complex.
I was not criticizing you or your original point, or I’d have said so. I probably should have stated that your original point was valid.
My main purpose was to get ahead of the screams of people complaining that we spend too much on defense.
I also think gov’t reported inflation numbers are much too optimistic, but, that’s a whole ‘nother can of worms. It would only wiggle your argument a little bit...
Anyway, we are in general agreement, ok? Have a good day. :-)

Yeah, you guys citing Axios, Politico, NYT, etc. on all that anti-Trump and anti-Israel BS always want to push that it’s ‘what happened’. But funny how... when the truth finally comes out, and the lying left is exposed again (and again), it never is actually ‘what happened’. Imagine your disappointment.
The only question in most folks minds (not my mind, because I’ve already come to a conclusion) is...
do you guys really believe the crap you spew here... or do you have a political agenda... or are you really just that “unintelligent”. One wonders.
Trump’s decades-long ‘views on Iran’.....
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kjt7TO3Ptys&t=23s
that is not a fair analogy…..muslim extremists cannot be eliminated by just taking out Iran.
Yup. He snookered the Peanut Farmer.
And as I posted on FR back on May 21st, "the meeting described in the 4/07 article occurred on 2/11/2026. Other reporting published on that day directly corroborates that a meeting took place: "The two leaders [Trump and Netanyahu] spoke behind closed doors for more than two and a half hours in what Trump described as a "very good meeting" but said no major decisions were made and stopped short of publicly accepting Netanyahu's entreaties..."
