There is no limit to the compassion and resources we offer to illegals and damned foreigners. We shower money without limits on Ukraine and they buy Ferraris, Villas in Spain, etc. We shower money on Israel where they use it to support non-working orthodox slackers and all kinds of welfare. We drop billions on Argentina, Venezuela, etc.
Food for Gaza... bombs for Gaza.... Toyotas for ISIS, aid for the new Syrian ISIS leader. 85 million a month for the Taliban.... 400 million for a gold plated White House dance hall for the glitterati and billionaires to clink champagne glasses... with entry doors held open by soldiers in powdered wigs and revolutionary war uniforms? YOU BETCHA!
But God -forbid- an American poor person buys a Snickers bar or some potato chips. She needs to damn well stick to beans and rutabagas. Only foreigners and DC turds get top shelf treatment and get to flip the finger to being responsible.

I don’t think the cheese was real cheese & the Spam is just awful stuff in my opinion. Thankful that I am not on food stamps. At least I can get a little of the cheese I want & maybe a little real ham instead of that Spam crap. I’m on S.S. & a budget but thankfully not on food stamps.
Good thing I don’t control EBT. They would be so tired of rice and beans they might even decide to work for their food like the rest of us taxpayers.

I agree. And “we” are also buying countless Ukrainian luxury homes, yachts, and Ferraris. And paying for the welfare for Orthodox Jewish slackers in Israel.
I’d rather buy that woman whatever she can afford with her EBT assistance than watch foreigners laugh at us.
And then of course, there are the millions of illegals, free phones, airline tickets, financial assistance for rent and food.
The money wasted by this country is epic. But we love kicking Americans at the low end. I don’t mind that if we roast foreign aid and DC corrupt projects with the same gusto.

Absolutely it’s our concern. When they ruin their health with bad diet choices, who gets stuck with medical bills?
They use to be prohibited.
My mom in the early 1960’s signed up to get government food assistance…5 kids and dad was not paying any support. She worked two jobs to support us and grandparents helped if the could.
My Grandfather told her not to sign up for assistance and he was right!
She was given instructions togoto a place where they distributed one month’s food assistance. There was powdered milk, corn flakes, canned ‘stew’ that resembled dogfood, government blocks of cheese - american cheese, oil base, rice… no vegetables, bread or even beans for protein.
Looking back, I think it was whatever Agriculture industry dumped into the program.
This ONE time experience was eye opening to my mom. She never ever sought any help from gov programs. She knew that she along with family support had to provide.
Can you imagine spending your own money on snacks like a commoner? Horrifying!

As a Cub Scout we would transport food to welfare recipients' houses (all were white people and all lived in houses--1950s). I couldn't understand some had far more expensive TV sets, stereo systems and other stuff my family didn't have. My first glimmering of understanding how it all works. Didn't see a Welfare Cadillac until 1960s, though.
That opinion would be understandable if we weren’t also paying all their medical bills which result from these horrid food choices.
