Archaeologists have uncovered ruins in Israel they believe once housed the Ark of the Covenant, a sacred, gold-covered chest described in the Bible.
>>>
While the fate of the Ark remains a mystery, it vanishes from the biblical record before the Babylonian sack of Jerusalem in 586 BC.
Now, a team working at the ancient biblical site of Shiloh has unearthed a stone structure that appears to match the dimensions and orientation of the Tabernacle described in the Bible.
>>>
Dr Stripling now believes his team may have uncovered the very gate where Eli died, CBN reported.

Those f-ing Nazis got everything they DESERVED!
So many PATRIOTS standing and cheering in the theater when we first watched this movie...together...in public! :)
You know - back when it was WORTH your time and money to GO to a theater to see a movie. ;)
Thanks Ezekiel.

This subject should cause every Christian to ponder the ark’s purpose in its day, as well as today.
There is a sensationalism involved that is not salutary, but understandable.
I'm a member of ABR (the organization doing this dig). Their latest magazine has several articles relating to this dig and the artifacts being found there. In one Dr. Stripling writes "From my reading of I Samuel 3 and two passages in the Mishnah, I knew there was a strong possibility that the Israelites replaced the Mishkan (sacred tent) with a permanent building, but I had no idea if anything remained [or] where on the site..." He goes on to state the the word "temple" used in I Sam. 3 suggests a permanent structure and "doors" and "house" in 3:15 suggest a more solid structure than a tent. Not a proof, but suggestive of a permanent structure.
The Mishnah passages are more plain, speaking of a house of stone with hangings as the resting place of the Ark, and a "sanctuary with stone walls covered by tapestries."
There might be material on their website on this as well: Associates for Biblical Research
Thx.
Everyone knows that it’s in Oak Island. /S
Mmmmm....Didn’t Ron Wyatt already discover it? It’s now with the Israelis and that is why they are pushing for temple worship.
Thanks for the info.
And I thought it was in the basement of the Alamo, next to a bicycle.
The ark is in heaven. Revelation 11
The power of the Ark came from God’s presence.
True but when my kids were young they liked the boxes more than the toys at Christmas.
Ark was 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high. Big friggen building for dry dock.
“What’s a cubit?”
It’s like a hand only different.
Just quoting an old Bill Cosby routine.
That’s Noah’s Ark.
Ah. Didn’t get the reference. I remember as a kid my parents had an album of Bill Cosby called “Why is there air”. I just remember the Superman bit about his big red S and laughing a lot.
