The phone is another story. I try not to use the phone for posting in a forum but sometimes I do.
My computer never changes what I write. The auto correct on my phone does.
And you know that the edit I am talking about is a way to change something after the fact, right? I have posted from my phone a few times and when I read it the next day on the computer, I see what I messed up even after previewing. If you can’t see it, you can’t see it. THAT edit button would be nice.
Autocorrect will not find the improper use of an ellipsis, though.
Can the filters argument overcome the “camouflage pants” going in v. The “cuffed jeans” going out.

Grammar...well, I wouldn’t expect Cambridge English, people type the way they talk. In fact I don’t really mind “ain’t, y’all and all-y’all”. After all, most of us talk Mercun...not “The King’s English”.
I’m among the worst at impatience. It’s hard to see huge chunks of time go in favor of immeasurable damage by the dark side.
I do think we will perk up by May.

The Manhattan grand jury deciding whether or not to indict former President Donald Trump will break for another month in the latest delay in the ongoing legal saga.
Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg had referred the case to a grand jury earlier this month in the hope of indicting Trump on campaign finance violations.
They have been tasked with considering whether Trump broke the law when his attorney Michael Cohen gave $130,000 to porn star Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about claims she had slept with Trump in 2016.

My phone changes a lot of those words for me and if I’m not wearing my bifocals, I don’t always catch them before posting.
You should talk to some Southern black people! A friend of mine from Wisconsin visited and stayed with us for a week. When we went anywhere around black people, she was constantly asking, “what did she/he say?” I had to play interpreter. Even I can’t understand a lot of them. There are some whites here that speak the same way.
I can’t understand people from the Bronx or some places up North. My Southern ears don’t receive incoming that fast.
My mom taught school when we were kids, and we were not allowed to use bad language, bad grammar, or slang.
My own Southern grandparents spoke a mixture of hillbilly and Scottish phrases. They were very intelligent even if they weren’t very educated.
I can understand the frustration of hearing and reading bad grammar or bad spelling. I just don’t think it’s my place to correct an older adult person over it and cause embarrassment. They either won’t or can’t change. Now, a young person is a different story. They need to be corrected while they can still change.
Schools all over the country are doing kids a terrible disservice by not teaching proper grammar and spelling in order to keep from disrespecting a culture. I love technology but kids need to learn to read, speak properly, and do math without computers and calculators.
I’d better stop before I get banished to Festival. 🙄

I see several articles in last few days following the Solomon “update” on JustTheNews but still don’t understand what that “update” was but it’s definitely gotten some attention (filing still the 2022 Sussman one from last year)
How can this be fact when you are measuring from different photos & different angles on the shoes? I’m not saying it could turn out to be correct but we’re dealing with derps & I’m going to be skeptical about everything.
