I call Athens TN, as in The Battle of Athens, home. I’m proud to live in such a conservative area. We even still have a Tea Party Facebook group. This is Trump country. He is much loved here. I'm of Scots/Irish/Viking ancestry. My ancestors moved to the Appalachians in the 1700's. My original ancestor fought in the Revolutionary War with Washington as a patriot. My family was divided during the Civil War and fought on both sides, but none believed in slavery. Not everybody that fought for the Confederacy fought to keep slavery. Here is an old picture of me at 17 in 1972 to prove the Scots/Irish/Viking ancestry. LOL I turned 69 in October 2023.

I have been accused of over-explaining and going on and on about things that nobody cares about but there is a reason. Before I retired, I taught computer classes to elderly people. Elderly people are not like teaching kids. Most of the time you have to go over and over a subject before they retain the information. After several years of teaching computer and going to their houses to fix whatever mess they made, it became part of me. Sorry if you don't want to hear what I have to say. Just move on.
