Regarding patriotism not being as important to Americans anymore:
I find myself feeling less patriotic. I attribute that to being ashamed of so many of my fellow Americans. So many have proven to be such dolts, cowards, and just plain dumbasses over the past three years.
I have no desire to wear patriotic clothing. I just recently packed up all my cute red, white, and blue outfits into a storage tote because I don’t wear them and don’t see myself doing so any time soon.
I’m hoping there will come a day when people wake up and there is a resurgence of patriotism and I have a reason to wear these outfits everyday for a week. I’m hoping that period coincides with public executions of Fauci et al.
Yeah, I’m bloodthirsty. I admit it.

As one who is not a God Believer, I can take issue with your post, but you may have a point. I tend to side with Mark Twain who said, “Religion is a tool for controlling unruly children and gullible adults.”
