WELLINGTON, NZ—After discovering a single case of COVID on the island of New Zealand, the country's Prime Minister and Chief Muppet Jacinda Ardern has decided she will take no chances—electing to just sink the entire island into the sea to stop the spread.
"Listen, this gives me no pleasure," she said in an address, "but desperate times call for desperate measures. I am left with no choice but to fully submerge this island underwater until the threat of COVID is passed."
"So pack your togs, because you all will have to swim for a few weeks until we figure this out."
She then drilled a hole into the ground with an auger until water began rushing out, which then enveloped the whole island, leaving all the Kiwis floating out in the wop-wops.
"Crikey!" said all the enraged citizens. "We'll be floating out here for yonks!"
Authorities assured the rest of the world that Prime Minister Ardern's move was in no way an overreaction and is completely reasonable in every way.

Sounds like America right now with Biden’s DISASTER in Afghanistan.
However, there will be no ‘figuring it out’ with the current nimrods in charge, only making things WORSE for the world! Grrrr!
This is not about the flu. Ardern is literally a communist (check her bio) and she’s moving the country to communism. That’s what this is about.
Why not move everyone off the infected island onto the other island then wait for 14 days and let them all move back?
Might be a little AUKward, but if it saves one life...

The cleverness of ‘Bee’ notwithstanding, it’s a very small, remote island nation with a very small population.
They probably can’t afford to have too many people out of commission at once.

A friend of mine who has family there says they hardly have any icu beds. Well they’ve a had a year to figure it out. Geez
Why'd she go and drill a hole in it? How's she going to get it to float again with a hole in it? If she'd been ciphering like Rep. Hank Johnson she'd just have everybody move to one side of the island so it tips over. After the quarantine is over they can just move to the other side and flip it upright again.
Easy peasy. She shouldn't be Prime Minister if she can't figure out something as simple as this.

Hospitals tend to run on certain economic principles, geared toward population, historically routine needs, etc.
They may have seen no need for more ICU beds; and may now see a need for trying to guarantee that too many don’t wind up there.
I wouldn’t second-guess how a unique country, very different from my own, decided to handle this.
Ardern was president of a young socialist organization that itself was created by the Second International. Commie credentials don’t come any better.
If the Kiwis had any sense they’d hang the bitch. Instead they’ll politely go along with tyranny.
Their only hope is a Maori does the job the dickless Kiwis are unwilling to do.
