What’s the price of an accurate clock? Entropy, a new study has revealed.
Entropy — or disorder — is created every time a clock ticks. Now scientists working with a tiny clock have proven a simple relationship: The more accurate a clock runs, the more entropy it generates.
"If you want your clock to be more accurate, you’ve got to pay for it,” study co-author Natalia Ares, a physicist at the University of Oxford, told Live Science. “Every time we measure time, we are increasing the universe’s entropy."
As we go forward in time, the second law of thermodynamics states that the entropy of a system must increase. Known as the "arrow of time," entropy is one of the few quantities in physics that sets time to go in a particular direction — from the past, where entropy was low, to the future, where it will be high.
This tendency for disorder to grow in the universe explains many things, such as why it’s easier to mix ingredients together than separate them out, or why headphone wires get so intricately tangled together in pants pockets.

Time does not exist. We create it because we live finite lives.
If we lived forever, there would be no time. And that’s a promise from God.A place where everything is happening at the same moment.
That’s because entropy is racist!
So eternal means a lack of time.
What is time but the future turning into the past.
“The future disappears into memory
With only a moment between...”
Lyrics from my favorite band!
I believe it was best said by that renowned philosopher, Steve Miller, who wrote: “Time keeps on slippin’, slippin’, slippin’...into the future....”

Have you seen the animation of human DNA gene duplication?
Here’s one presentation that uses parts of the best animation of this process that has been (pro?)created to date:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=X_tYrnv_o6A
The original version of the aforementioned animation has been available for viewing on YouTube for a while now. The chopped up and edited version shown on this video is the best I could find in a few minutes searching. It’s power is limited to the personality and (probably atheistic) perspective of the video narrator.
To give you some idea of the degree of pretension, subtle redirection and manipulation taking place in the video to keep the viewer’s eye off the ball and prevent him or her from coming to the obvious conclusion (God Exists and Is Large and In Charge), consider the fact that the narrator is an American who actually willingly reads out in his script the Brit phrase “in future” instead of changing it to the American version thereof. Who does that?
Anyway...
It’s been determined based on the overall time it takes for one complete human cell to divide into two complete human cells that the rate of spin of the natural engine (helicase? I think it’s called?) that takes in one DNA strand and spits out two DNA strands is comparable to that of a modern turbofan jet engine. This is (thankfully) mentioned in the video.
When one sees with one’s eyes the design, function and interplay of the parts and raw material (including floating bits of RNA and C (cytosine), T (taurine), A (...?...), G (guanine)) necessary to pull it off...well, suffice it to say, good luck not seeing the hand and mind of God the Father, Creator of Heaven and Earth, in that!
By the way...please consider changing your handle at some point. This is (or should be) a family show. Scandal, however subtle, detracts from that goal. Admittedly, you could say that literally, this is merely One Guy’s opinion. Think about it though.
Doing anything at all, “increases the disorder” of the universe. Every change in energy increases the entropy
‘of the universe”. “Every” thing includes the explosion of a super nova down to simply thinking a thought. All require energy and every change in energy creates more entropy. Measuring time, or measuring your height, or winning World War Two all take energy and all increase entropy. Calling it “disorder” is simply media hype.
Time is an artificial construct - there is no such “real” thing as time.
The only entropy a “more accurate” clock produces is the expenditure of energy it needs to go tick and tock.
What a useless bit of blather this article is. I suppose the math will be useful for some esoteric physics researchers and computer scientists.
For the rest of us.....flatulence is more of an ‘energizing’ experience.
Rush?
Well there such a thing as time but it should be thought of as the “eternal now” in which God operates where past present and future are all the same. We know that the speed of an object affects the passing of time relative to that object as opposed to what happens to other fixed objects on Earth. The techs do have to put in correction algorithms in orbiting space craft as their speed relative to objects on earth makes them several seconds behind with increased compounding of such time errors unless the the correction factors are programmed in. The ratios are such that if such craft approached the speed of light, then time goes towards “nowness” while time on earth passes in a flash. But it takes enormous amounts of energy for an object to reach the “nowness” of zero time. Hence increased entropy of the universe as energy is drawn from it for a given object to hit light speed and the nowness state of zero time.
I think you are right in one sense about time being an artifical construct. It is a tool to help us understand rates of changes and proportions in our work and in our lives in this backdrop of entropy we exist in. Our standardized measurements of time may not be the same standards used on some other hypothetical world but whether this world or that world the same laws of physics, as they pertain to the passage of time of particles accelerated to great velocities/ relative to a fixed point on on either world, would apply.
This should stop a few...
(I mean we understand the concepts, but balancing our check books is pretty-much the practical extent of our math knowledge).
Say whut?
I think them “physicists” are left wingers setting us up to believe that any accuracies - like TRUTH, and maybe getting right answers in math are more than just racist - they will destroy us all —— because they require chaos for their clout...
And then there’s changing the clocks twice a year...for no real reason...which upsets our mental and physical state....not to mention figuring out how to change the clock in the car.
Darwinists have solved every problem dealing with the evolution of life. They start off by saying, “It may have happened this way,” to stating, “it likely happened thus,” to ending the narrative by dogmatically affirming that crabs became beavers, just give the process enough time. Apparently, time has the power to make miracles happen.
This could be considered the driving force behind evolution as it hastens Le Fin de la Monde.
