You seem to be the only person that attempts to explain this auto focus layring phenomenon.

I looked up to see if any photographers have had this issue in the past.
I can find nothing other then intentionally creating this on an MRI for a layered affect for looking at the brain. Though this is programmed into their system to create the affect.

Your picture is proving my point. His hand literally goes through the smaller dark mic, And then the large light colored microphone between 9 seconds and 11 seconds. Pause the video on Youtube, and manually move the "dot" with your cursor. The following picture shows his hand after it goes through the out of focus microphone, and there are artifacts around his arms.

My guess is the boom mic was added in post production to make it look more like a press conference. Or more likely, it is the beginning of a deep fake offensive...to confuse people and see what they can get away with, as well as causing obfuscation. Your video, when played side by side with the close up, shows his hand passing through 2 mics while simultaneously being 3-7 feet apart from one of the microphones. “What kind of image artifact lets us see the hand blocked by the microphone?”

Compression artifacts can cause extremely bizarre effects in video - because they distort time, not just space. The compression algorithm may choose to suppress data from faster moving objects or objects with less contrast (the microphone), and present pixels from the higher contrast or slower moving object instead (the hand).

In order to comprehend how the hand (which is obviously farther away) could possibly overlap the microphone (which is closer) it helps to remember this is a video - this is a time artifact, not a space artifact. The hand isn’t really “overlapping” the microphone, which would be a spacial artifact - it is just that the pixels representing the hand are stuck there as the microphone passes by the hand - a temporal artifact.

We have all seen weird compression artifacts where as a face moves, the pixels where the face should be are replaced with something else. That is what is happening here. Of course, the hand is never “in front” of the microphone - it is just that the data from the moving microphone is being compressed, and the algorithm is leaving pixels from the hand longer than they should be there.

Another way to think of it is to think of an effect where there appears to be a trail as something is moved. We have all seen that effect. Yet we know the thing is not really leaving a trail - it is just certain pixels remaining longer than they should.

Same with the hand, the pixels representing the hand should have been replaced by the pixels representing the microphone as it passed over the hand, but because of compression - the hand pixels remained - making it appear that the hand was overlapping the microphone.

Everything in this video can be explained by compression.

How about when the hand is moving and the microphone is not? How does a moving hand that is behind the microphone show in front of the microphone?

Look at the sequence at the 11 second mark when Biden is gesturing downward with a pointed finger on his right hand. How is this hand visible behind the microphone that has been relatively stable in the view?

Yes, the covers on these mics can be rather large... this one appears to be about the size of an eggplant..

If this had been the only view of the scene, nobody would be saying the scene was faked. The size of the mufflers on these boom microphones in this side shot would not have been enough to start this conspiracy theory.

It isn’t only motion which causes weird compression artifacts in video - soft borders (blurry edges) and non-homogenous textures can cause an area to be selectively compressed - causing it to be temporarily “disappear” - and other pixels selected for the image...

That didn’t happen in the side view.. in the side view, the hand really is closer to the camera than that rather large microphone cover.

As I pointed out earlier. This is done with MRI brain scans which the MRI program needs to be modified for this layered effect. There is no case like this on normal cameras.

MRI? Brain-scans? I’m not talking about any of that - I’m talking about normal video recordings.

I’m talking about temporal compression artifacts from normal video recordings.

In simple terms, in order to reduce the amount of image data stored for each frame, the compression software attempts to take areas of uniform or near uniform rgb color value - say a large area of white - and rather than store the rgb color value of 10k individual pixels for that area, it will define the area’s pixel range by rows and columns, and assign one rgb color value (white) to the entire range.

The compression software then decides whether there is enough of a change from frame to frame in a given pixel area to justify re-testing and assigning new color value to pixels and pixel areas.

The larger the bandwidth, the larger the data file is allowed to be, and the less compression there is - and the more accurate the playback.

The more limited the bandwidth, the smaller the data file is allowed to be, and the more compression there is - the less accurate the playback - you start to get weird artifacts - background pixels being left for the next frame when they should have been replaced by new pixels.

Pixels not being refreshed can create all sorts of spacial and temporal artifacts that make an object that was supposed to be covered by another object still visible.

Everything about that first video can be explained by data compression.

This is very interesting. Something I've never looked into.
Here is an example of raw temporal compression artifacts. Notice how the individual blocks over lap one another. Then a program this person is putting together to correct the issue.

This is a program that is used to correct the effect. Notice how sometimes the raw blocks will overlap one another that is what this person is attempting to correct. Then look at the Xiden image where his whole hand is in-front of the mic. Do you see a block of data overlapping another? Or do you see a layered affect? Where one image is imposed on the another?

Today (Friday) both BidAn and Commie-La are together in Atlanta. With all the hints in the last week, combined with yesterday's "gaffe" of BidAn saying "president harris", I'm betting today is the day BidAn's script is done, and Harris takes over.

How weird is it to realize that, while many already know BidAn is fake, that so many do not yet know it, and won't come to that conclusion till *after* BidAn completes his script role, and passes it on to the next faker: Commie-La.

And then, we'll have to rinse and repeat that Commie-La is also just a good... nay, great Actor as well.

But, regarding your previous post, it’s not the “military making its move” to take out Joe/Kam.

Joe/Kam are playing their parts now for the *benefit* of the military to do their part in a few weeks.

We will enter a “scare” period, with a DOW crash. This is to wakeup the rest of the folks asleep. Nobody will be asleep soon. Nobody, after the coming events in the *short term*. That dark period will be with Kam at the helm.

For the above timing to work, seems to me the 25th is today. The joe gaffes of the last few days, the “president harris” yesterday, and today with BOTH in ATL, Trump’s warning to Joe that the 25th will be a problem for him.

Seems to me this is all fitting like a well-designed puzzle.
