Charles Barkley: Roy Moore should have been disqualified 'way before this women stuff came up'

The endorsement at least some people have been waiting for in the race for Alabama's U.S. Senate seat has arrived, with NBA great and former Auburn basketball player Charles Barkley telling NBC News, "if I lived here, I'd vote for Doug Jones."

Barkley -- asked to weigh in on politics while in Auburn for the unveiling of a statue of him outside Auburn's basketball arena on the day of the annual Iron Bowl clash with Alabama in football -- told NBC's Vaughan Hillyard that Republican nominee Roy Moore should have been "disqualified" from the race long before recent allegations surfaced that he sexually assaulted teenage girls and behaved inappropriately around others in the 1970s.

"Everybody's going crazy over these sexual allegations, Roy Moore to me, when he brought in Steve Bannon should have been disqualified," Barkley said. "I don't understand. How can you have a guy who's running with a white separatist running for a political office?

"We've got a lot of black people in this state who are amazing people but to run a campaign with a guy as your chief advocate who is a white nationalist or white separatist, that should have disqualified Roy Moore way before this women stuff came up."

Everything Barkley said here is what a diaper has when it’s full.

He used to be a conservative, and he, even, was a guest on Rush Limbaughs’ radio show a few times. What happened to him?

I care. I use a meme of him on my anti-racist community page.
I thought better of him, sucks that he would say this.

I’m surprised; not a big fan but I also thought he was at least a conservative-lite and took a stance somewhat like Bill Cosby (prescandal days) in calling out the black community to be better.

since he doesn’t have a vote in Alabama his point of view has zero relevance.

His status within the black community might motivate
some who may have stayed at home
to go and vote for Jones when they hear this nonsense.

Guilty of ThoughtCrime. It’s why they want to impeach the president.

Well, irony is that in the recent past, he has actually said many things that Freepers agree with. Shame he really was on the cusp of being a great conservative role model...

I guess putting the best interests of the American people first is called racist by Chuck Barkley. Putting the best interests of white, black and every other race ahead of illegal immigrants is now white nationalism? People like Chuck sound so ignorant because they are obsessed with race. When President Trump says Americans, he's talking about all American citizens.

All the accusations against Moore originate and are quoted from media sources which support positions like : Abortion, gender sex reclassification, gay marriage, and nullification of religious influence on culture. All of which are solidly opposed by candidate Roy Moore.
