I was able to listen to Track 1, downloaded track 2 but it would not play. They've worked on our computers and my music plays less than half the time. If you have any suggestions on how to fix my realPlayer, please let me know.

hehe! We will. Thanks. :^D

Dad got here shortly after my last post there. My wife had breakfast ready and we ate when he got here.

My wife left to go to her sister's store and she took Ming some sweet potatoes. Ming loves them.

We had a nice lunch and visit with my aunt and her son and his wife and got home about 45 minutes ago.

Before Dad left, Ming called and had to thank Dad for the sweet potatoes.

Whoops. Look at all those posts in my "My Comments" page. :^O

Guess I better go play catchup for a bit now. :^D

The following is a cute news story I saw on FOX earlier this evening....The video of Red helping his buddies escape is so funny.

Red let the dogs out

05.10.2004 4.20 am

A dog repeatedly escaped from his kennel at one England's most famous animal shelters at night, let out his canine buddies and raided the kitchen.

Mystified workers at the Battersea Dogs' Home identified Red - a crossbred hunting dog - as the culprit only after they installed video surveillance cameras.

The tapes broadcast on Britain's GMTV today show him unbolting his door.

Dad

October 7, 1928 – October 3, 2004

He was a strong and loving son,
And he loved his sister.
He loved his wife of many years,
Best believe it mister.
Together they raised many kids,
Yes six to be exact.
He helped to teach us to be strong,
Work hard, and how to act.
His children were his pride and joy,
He touted their success.
Grandchildren, they were special too,
It showed, no need to guess.
To friends he spoke about the pride,
He had for family.
He and Mom sure added branches,
To the family tree.
We miss him and we’ll think about,
The good times we all had.
We’ll keep a place in all our hearts,
Where we will honor Dad.

I meant to post this earlier but it seems there are always interruptions. I hope good intentions count.

Watching The Wind

Read: Acts 8:26-34

He who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap. —Ecclesiastes 11:4

Bible In One Year: Isaiah 23-25; Philippians 1

When it comes to telling others about Jesus, I'm sometimes like a cautious farmer who keeps his eye on the weather, looking for the perfect day to plant his crops. The season passes and he sows nothing. The opportunity is gone; the harvest is lost (Ecclesiastes 11:4).

I hesitate and wonder, "Is this person ready to listen to the gospel? Is this the time to speak?" You can never tell what's going on in the depths of another person's heart. Some may be dwelling in darkness yet longing for someone to lead them into the light.

The Ethiopian eunuch in his royal chariot seemed to have it all together (Acts 8:27). He enjoyed prestige, wealth, and power, yet inwardly he was empty and searching. He was reading Isaiah's promise of the suffering Savior and trying to come to grips with his words. Right at that moment, Philip took the opportunity to tell the eunuch about Jesus (v.35).

I have a friend who often leads people to Jesus. I asked him once how he knew they were ready to receive the gospel. "It's easy," he replied. "I ask them."

So I must stop worrying about the wind and the clouds and get on with it—scattering the seed wherever I go, regardless of the weather. You just never know. —David Roper

Toiling through the changing seasons
In the sunshine and the rain,
Zealous sowing with compassion
Yields a wealth of golden grain. —Anon.

Sowing the seed of God's Word is never out of season.

Long Walk Day

Olduvai Gorge was a long time ago. We’ve walked for quite a long way.
We’ve picked up things as we walked about, some habits seem likely to stay.
We’ve learned to stay together, protecting each other from harm,
The father defending his children, as long as there’s strength in his arm.

The mothers will tend to their hurtings, and cuddle them up in the cold.
The healthy lend strength to weaker ones, and patiently stand with the old.
We’ve gotten to places so hidden away that you had to be born there to find,
And we learned the hard lessons and followed the rules, and we keep them firmly in mind.

Our strength is in our joining, our glue the words we share,
All journeys may have some reward, coming home’s beyond compare.
Our eyes may be looking outward, our heart is in the home,
And when we find the truth of that, there is no need to roam.

Dream Sharing

There comes a time when naps are due.
It’s much more fun to share with you.
You keep me warm, and with you here,
I know there is no need to fear.

When I grow up I want to sleep,
Beside someone that I can keep,
Free of worry, and of fear,
Someone who will be as dear.

I learn love at Mother’s knee,
But others teach the world to me,
“Give Unto Others” is her rule,
But I learn sharing in this school.

I got this in an email...

INTELLIGENT RIDDLE -

John Kerry meets with the Queen of England. He asks her, "Your Majesty, how do you run such an efficient government? Are there any tips you can give to me?"

"Well," says the Queen, "the most important thing is to surround yourself with intelligent people."

Kerry frowns. "But how do I know the people around me are really intelligent?"

The Queen takes a sip of tea. "Oh, that's easy. You just ask them to answer an intelligent riddle." The Queen pushes a button on her intercom. "Please send Tony Blair in here, would you?"

Tony Blair walks into the room. "Yes, my Queen?" The Queen smiles. "Answer me this, please, Tony. Your mother and father have a child. It is not your brother and it is not your sister. Who is it?"

Without pausing for a moment, Tony Blair answers, "That would be me."

"Yes! Very good," says the Queen.

Kerry goes back home to ask John Edwards, his vice presidential choice the same question. "John. Answer this for me. Your mother and your father have a child. It's not your brother and it's not your sister. Who is it?"

"I'm not sure," says John Edwards. "Let me get back to you on that one." Edwards goes to his advisors and asks every one, but none can give him an answer.

Finally, he ends up in the men's room and recognizes Colin Powell's shoes in the next stall. Edwards shouts, "Colin, can you answer this for me? Your mother and father have a child and it's not your brother or your sister. Who is it?" Colin Powell yells back, "that's easy - it's me!"

Edwards smiles, and says, "Thanks!" Then, Edwards goes back to speak with Kerry. "Say, I did some research and I have the answer to that riddle. It's Colin Powell."

Kerry gets up, stomps over to John Edwards, and angrily yells into his face, "No, you idiot! It's Tony Blair!"
