To battle a spate of unsubstantiated rumors, including one that Obama is not a natural-born U.S. citizen, the Obama campaign launched a Web site called "Fight the Smears." It shows a copy of his Hawaii birth certificate.
Onaka said he has had many calls asking him to confirm Obama's birth certificate, but he cannot disclose such information: "Only Obama can consent to that."

Isn’t it interesting that the Chicago Tribune and the local ABC channel under a FOIA request could find a way to get a CA judge to release the SEALED divorce records of Obama’s likely winning IL Senate pubbie contender in 2004, Jack Ryan? He wanted his wife to go to a sex club with him, and he was running on “family values,” so the IL GOP forced him out.
That’s when Alan Keyes was shipped in to take Ryan’s spot.

Now consider another case in which American journalism got things wrong, but in the opposite direction: the Ryan v. Ryan divorce filings.
As Jack Ryan, a Republican senatorial candidate in Illinois, was sinking in the polls in his 2004 race against Barack Obama, the Chicago Tribune and local ABC news affiliate WLS-TV succeeded in persuading a judge to release his divorce papers.
According to those filings, his wife, the actress Jeri Ryan, had wanted to get free of him in part because she found it repulsive when he repeatedly urged her to accompany him to a sex club and do the deed in front of others.
Arguing, as Jeri Ryan did, that you want to divorce your spouse because your ideas of sexual intimacy are distressingly incompatible is entirely fair. But why should a citizen care? That story was domestic voyeurism, not political information.

After those matters were disclosed, his wife apparently had nothing but positive and supportive statements about Ryan.
Are original birth certificates so hermetically and exclusively sealed as to be completely out of reach, even from an interested, engaged press?
Did the Chicago Tribune get involved in pulling the trigger on the story of US Atty. Fitzgerald’s Blago indictments before the schemes involved more critical players for the same reason ?
Zell and others are on the tapes. Were they just covering their own a....? Had they figured out they were being investigated and were involved in wrong doing? Hope they are still being taped. Does Fitz have a mole in his project?
IIRC a “gossip columnist” planted several tidbits back in Sept/Oct about the investigation and the plug had to be pulled before it also entangled Jr. It was absolutely ludicrous that Jr released his own “investigative report” December 22, 2008 absolving himself AND his staff of any wrongdoing in the Balgo affair. Where was the media “outrage” then?
I noticed that “The Star Bulletin” also published a story during Jr’s Christmas vacation detailing his day’s activities mentioning his visit to his grandmother’s apartment on December 30th and not a soul including journalists asked what he was doing there!
My goodness, a lot of people in Hawaii have major grievances with Onaka. And even individuals apparently sometimes cannot see their own original birth certificates. Changing the originals upon adoption seems like a very bad practice.
Neil Abercrombie’s letter proves that he is parsing very carefully so as to support his messiah while making sure he doesn’t open himself up to any legal troubles down the road.
Exactly, he avoids saying directly that he knows Jr was born in Hawaii but says he knew Obama Sr and Ann. (he also gets the date wrong saying Sr arrived in HI in 1960 when we know he arrived in HI in 1959)
In Bergs’ case, Hollister v Soetoro et. al., Hollister is a retired Air Force Colonel, and is on Individual Ready Reserve. As such, he can still be called up for duty, and is still bound by his oath. The oath is considered a binding and tangible asset under something called interpleader.

I was glad to find phone lines rather busy at Congress today. Hope all Freepers have been making calls to their Reps. and Senators and voicing anger towards the crazy stimulus package! Make note of any Republicans who cave and vote with the DEMS!
Know we have some Freepers who keep an eye on legislation in Congress and hope they are watching closely as to what the DEMS will try to pass without public knowledge. If one of those Freepers reads this post, please ping me to any bills they are trying to sneak through. Thanks!!
one thing that has bugged me a bit along the way with this...
hawai’i didn’t become a state until august 1959. 2 years later 0bama is ‘born’ in the state, but the documentation seems to be missing.
as far as i know, unless otherwise proven, you must assume the statements by his paternal grandmother are accurate and that he was in fact born in kenya
if he would like to refute it... words alone are meaningless. like every other natural born citizen of the US, he should shut up and provide the paperwork with full access given to investigators in order to verify all the information (i’d be very frightened if i were named on the BC...)

There is no legitimate justification for concealing his birth certificate. None. It doesn’t simply imply that something negative exists about the man (the President of the United States of America), it virtually confirms it. It’s not private information for a public figure to verify his eligibility.
Why he must have thought his grandma's apartment may need a little cleaning up.
It's called, "CYA," for Cover Your A--! The Department of Hawaii knows that someone within their own Vital records Office chunked out Obama's fraudulent COLB along with others.

Allow me to also add that Republicans need to oppose Obama’s stimulus package because when it fails, he will only have DemocRats to blame.
Wonder if a clerk could be bribed to circulate the birth certificate? If the media can obtain the divorce records of Ryan, surely a lowly clerk could be bribed to make a copy of the birth certificate on file if there is one.

Maya Soetoro Ng did the clean up before she went away to an isolated spot on the island to recuperate, she mentioned that in the email she sent to friends which one released to the media. Perhaps Jr had a secret hiding spot that even his sister didn’t know about? I sure would have loved to been there to see what was shredded and thrown in the trash!
