Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.
The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.
The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.
Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.
McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

I think he gets a pass here, the Kenyan citizenship had no force of law in the US, and as was pointed out up thread, to allow another country to declare someone is one of theirs leads to absurd scenarios, e.g. North Korea adopting John McCain as one of their own to keep him out of the White House.

IF she manages to put the bloody knife in the white conservatives' hands, and is sufficiently supportive of Obama in his time of need, and I dunno, acts like a clinton, she might get enough votes anyway.
He has staff to sacrifice for that.

As soon as it was called to his attention he arranged to get to Hawaii to get the 'true' documents to clear it up in one felled swoop

I wouldn't be eager to buy it, but if I were a koolaide drinker, and the alternative was having yet another eeeeeeeeevil old white guy republican in the White House? I'd take another big gulp, and vote for him.
Legally changing your name doesn’t change your birth certificate.
More to the point, why would he deliberately change his name to a MUSLIM name?
Especially one that means the blessed, good and handsome direct descendant of mohammed?
If he comes up with a sale able political position on the main issue, probably not. He will say, "well some overzealous campaign staff person made some judgment errors; I take full responsibility; we'll throw her or him under the bus; that was just attributable to those bad right-wingers attacking us under circumstances where there isn't any substance to their position."
What has been accomplished is that publication of the clear forged nature of the Birth Certificate has put pressure on Obama to do further acts to respond to the issue. We have given him the opportunity to make another mistake. We will see how he responds; we will see how the Clinton's and their agents (Texas Darlin and others) respond.
Really, what he has done is bought a week or two. If he has a political answer on the main issue; and then is able to regain momentum going into the convention; it will be difficult to stop him.
On the other hand, if he is not successful, the message that he still hasn't addressed the real issue of where he was born with real factual material will resurface and it will probably bring him down, whatever he does.
LEGALLY, BO/BS may (or may not) get a pass on some or all of these issues. However- my point has been all along- the legality is almost beside the point. The way I see it- the effect all the hiding and covering up and lying will be to devastate his campaign politically.
Once the MSM evens starts asking questions- this is going to hurt his candidacy seriously. I know there may be millions of Obamanuts and ignorant citizens who are convinced he is The One...but there are enough that will find these questions disturbing enough to vote for McCain. It only requires a small percent of undecideds to change the outcome.
Of course- what happens in Denver may change everything.

Just so I can refresh your memory, The Congress of the United States never ratified the treaty Mexico is claiming we should have followed.
According to their claim that because he wasn’t allowed to contact his consulate, he should have been released and his execution was in violation of that treaty.
The Mexican government is calling for an additional Miranda warning specifically for Mexican citizens in the United States illegally based upon a treaty we never ratified.
Good. However there is also the position that even if the treaty had been ratified and in place, he got sufficient due process to comply with international law and the treaty provisions in any event.
The treaty provisions control on the same level of legal authority as the Constitution which provides, in Article VI, Par. 2, "[t]his Constitution . . . and all treaties made or which shall be made under the authority of the United States shall be the supreme law of the land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, anything in the Constitution or laws of any State to the contrary notwithstanding."

The problem is— how did the zealot staffer get a copy of his sister’s birth certificate?
Of course since he was given the same rights as an Ordinary American, Mexico expected more rights i.e. a consulate visit then your average American would receive in Mexico were the situation reversed.
We didn’t ignore the treaty or his rights we gave him the full protection under the law that any American would have received.
It was a bad example of how this country ignores treaties, since an unratified treaty is non binding.
However the treaty concerning dual citizenship was ratified and the United States is bound to obey it’s conditions and one of those conditions is we must recognize that i a child becomes a citizen in a country that doesn’t allow dual citizenship this country must accept that that child’s US citizenship is lost until He or she reaffirms it at eighteen(+six months) according to the procedures set forth bu the State department according to our laws, and that is why there is such a clause in our laws.

It’s a can of worms alright- for Barry Soetoro. I believe there’s a real problem with his COLB- but the whole Maya thing seems a stretch and I’m not buying it. If I’m wrong- no problem!
This guy is a nightmare for the Dems- but more- for our country. I’m for going after him in every legitimate way available to show who and what he is- and isn’t.
