We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor our brave members of the Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Well, last night's speech was all we could have hoped for. And in a week, or two, the President will again address a joint session of Congress and the Nation.
This will be a one - two punch, and send the Dems and other critics reeling.
It's too bad it has to get so political on the eve of war, but the Corrupt Party started it with its overly aggressive attacks before the SOTU was even delivered!
So there it is: the Dems will be reeling. Excellent!
Just last night I called a guy from my class that I've known since we were 6 years old. We were in SS class together in two different churches and he's now one of the deacons in the Baptist church I mostly grew up in.
I called him because he was a very close friend of Lonny, the guy who was killed in that plane crash. (Lonny was also a deacon in our church until he died.) I had heard he had a really hard time at the funeral so wanted to talk to him. Neither of us had a lot to say, but kind of talked about people we knew and a few memories came up.
It's strange because my life has led me all over the place, even around the world. I've moved more than 40 times in my life. His life has been lived almost all within the same county. He knows what is going on with nearly everyone I asked about, people I hadn't heard about or seen in 25 years since we were in school together.
Have you ever seen the movie A Trip to Bountiful? It's about an old lady who escapes from her son's place where she has no freedom and tries to go back to the house and town where she grew up to see her best friend. It's a wonderful movie. Kind of sad, but very touching. You'd like it, I know.
..so glad your sister is doing well...
..I talked to Dad this AM..(after I signed off FR)...and he was sputtering & fuming about his doctor messing up his medicines...
..so I made a running trip to the south part of my county to get this strainghtened out.
We visited the doctor (who was very patient and sweet)..and figured out what meds Dad was confused about, and we all got on the same page.
Then I took Dad & Mom to lunch, and followed Dad to his pharmacy to get his prescription filled.
When I returned home, I was exhausted, and just woke from my nap.
That was my day :^
I just know how to put the key in the ignition and GO :)
I just woke up....haven't had afternoon coffee :^)

I doubt if I was away from home....and I was coming home in a few hours...my Hubby would be on the computer. I'm sure he would be hustling like a mad man cleaning up. :-)
As for you...I bet things are as neat as can be.
I've not been around much...have you, Mozie. Hope you are well.
Doing better, Lysie, but started wearing down by the end of the school day. Trill is going to come home to a house that looks much like she left it. I had hoped to get it cleaned while she was gone.

I realize that the opposing point of view offered by LB was not appreciated by many (or most) here but I found the discussion valuable; for the most part a clear-headed debate of the issues with nobody resorting to name-calling or viciousness.
As Steven Hopkins says in 1776, "....I ain't never heard, seen nor smelled an issue that was so dangerous it couldn't be talked about."
Mostly [the rich] already have the money, so tax rates don't affect them much. It's those BECOMING rich that are affected.Amen. The present tax code inhibits wealth creation and promotes wealth preservation. It's back-, er, -wards.
Trill and Bratling are now home. Brat's cat and Trill's dog are estatic. LOL!
