AMERICA- The Right Way!! (Day 739) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
All of Us | January 29, 2003A | Freepers and Various News Sources

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor our brave members of the Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Well, last night's speech was all we could have hoped for. And in a week, or two, the President will again address a joint session of Congress and the Nation.

This will be a one - two punch, and send the Dems and other critics reeling.

It's too bad it has to get so political on the eve of war, but the Corrupt Party started it with its overly aggressive attacks before the SOTU was even delivered!

So there it is: the Dems will be reeling. Excellent!

At times Shadow seems more aggressive, but that doesn't bother me too much because she's much bigger and he poses no real threat. But last night she went after him just for coming into the kennel where she was and I knew she was serious about it.

Bwahahaha! I caught the pic of the Old Sot dozing. I guess he needed to save his energy for his blowhard rantings about needing another resolution on Iraq.

Of course they have good reason to be pissy, since once again, they've been outmaneuvered by Dubya.

The zittle, little girl as MR HOB cals her is wonderful! I know some people would not understand how much I love this dog, but I do. She is so very friendly that neighbors who come into the house, go home and remark how sweet she is.

She's going to the hairdresser (groomer) this Friday since her hair has gotten really long.

I was very glad to hear the President's speech last night. I think he made the case for going into Irag. What I don't or can't get excited about is his plan to pure money into Africa for AIDS relief. I'm not really against it, but I do think we should keep the funding at home to use in domestic affairs.

Sounds like they both want your undivided attention....all at once a wonderful feeling and a dasterly (sp) one. Good luck with them. I truly hope you work out the problem with the dogs AND find meaningful, fulfilling work.

I sense a little strategery at work with this one. Despite all of x42's bluster on the issue, for 8 years he did nothing about it. The RATS can't very well complain about it without revealing their own hypocricy, and it proves that Republicans aren't racists, despite all the claims by the left that they are. It also helps put the whole Lott mess to bed.

Like many of us have pointed out, Juan Williams began to see the light. One at a time...

Joke time:

No one pulls a slick on on this woman.

Last year I replaced several windows in my house. They were the expensive double-insulated energy efficient windows. This week I got a call from the contractor complaining that the work has been done for a year and I had failed to pay for them. Boy, oh boy, did we go round and round. I told him no one pulls a fast one on this old lady. Even though I am a senior citizen and used to be a blonde, doesn't mean that I am automatically stupid! I proceeded to tell him just what his salesman told me last year; "In one year they would pay for themselves!"

I have to tell you about something that happened at work yesterday. Unfortunately it happened shortly before a genuine misunderstanding and may have contributed to this feeling that I don't have much of a chance of teaching there.

I was in a conversation with a Japanese student about grammar. She wanted to know how and when we learn the English grammar that they struggle so much with. I told her about how much grammar my 10-year-old is learning this year and said she knows more than most adults. As an example, I said that even most English teachers couldn't tell you how many prepositions English has, but my daughter knows.

Just then the academic director walked in so we asked her if she knew how many prepositions English has. She said, "Oh, hundreds."

I said, "Actually, there are 49."

She said, "No, there are hundreds!"

I looked puzzled and said, "How do you figure? There are just 49."

She said, "Oh no, there are way more than that!"

I told her that where I taught before (Vanderbilt) I had brought a list of 49 and that was more than anyone else had been able to compile.

Then she got a sort of sickeningly sweet smile on her face and said, "Ok, if you want to go on believing that, you can!"

Tension filled the room. Soon after that I got the distinct impression that I was no longer wanted.

IF Rudy blinds sides her (course it is gonna take a lot of blinding cause there is a lot of both of her sides) and runs against her she might run with Joe Lie-ber-man but it is going to have to be a sure thing, it is the only way she operates.

I didn't think of that strategy, thanks. It would put the race card to bed (at least for awhile). I was just appalled when I saw Pelogsi laughing about the tax cuts. How can they still insist that tax cuts won't help?
