Cracker Barrel (“CB”) recently announced with great pride (pun intended) that they have become woke and are implementing customer-facing DEI throughout their restaurant chain, a project that has been in the works for about a year. Proving once more that idealistic leftists are oblivious to anything remotely involving sanity.
The Left never seems to learn. Their DEI agenda is so important that they willingly crater their own businesses. Even Left-leaning news channels and their famous anchors have learned that they are not immune to this effect. I have doubts about the success of this new direction, for a couple of reasons.
1) Woke people who pretend to live healthy lives don't eat there anyway -- you know, because of the biscuits, gravy, fried chicken, calories, fat, etc., where just one glass of sweet tea likely has more calories than they consume in a day. Somehow CB thinks taking the "country" out of Cracker Barrel, removing the old white dude and his barrel from the logo, and making the decor look like a latte cafe will entice them in. (I have a bridge to sell you).
2) Their loyal fans, including me, have no interest in overall DEI wokeness when it is an in-your-face action. Hire whoever you wish, as I don’t care about the proclivities of my server or the cook, so no problem there. But I do care about the thinking of leaders who believe this is a good direction to pursue as a business. I admit I limit my meals there to no more than one per quarter just because I get three days’ worth of calories in one very delicious meal.
CB will lose a big part of their base while not recouping that volume with new customers from the woke mob.

Given the stock cratering (-19%+ in the last 30 days, 7%+ yesterday alone) I expect this will reverse in short order....but we’ll see.
I go to Cracker Barrel all the time. I go because of the old fashioned country store and the southern vibes. They play Dolly Parton on the speakers and you can sit in a rocking chair and play checkers on top of a barrel. The food is so-so. Nothing to write home about, it’s the ambience I like. Take that away and there is absolutely zero reasons for me to go. No wonder their stock is going off a cliff. I guess they figure there is no future in the older White folks that are dying off. Maybe they could blast the koran on a loudspeaker and serve really spicy questionable meats which is what I’m coming to expect these days.

I heard the CEO talk about her great plans for Cracker Barrel on a talk show last night and we are talking first class bimbo. She soooooo fits the class of low T low IQ losers who value symbolism over substance and have nothing of any value to add to any subject. We have a great Cracker Barrel here, but I’ll not enter that store if it installs the Obama-ugly awful blandness that’s depicted on the net. The universal law of the multiverse is that the left effs up everything they touch. This will continue until we make their lives unlivable. Not kidding.
Tyrus on Gutfeld gave a glowing recommendation for cracker barrel, imagine he has not been there since CB “awakening “😂
Side note a CB opened in out city and my wife was part of the first employees as a waitress. Food was good and relatively inexpensive. She worked there till she finished nursing school.
Sad to see these leftist ruin something else that was good.
I looked at the 5 year stock chart for CB. In the first four years it was a steady rise from $130 to $270, just over 100%. In the last year it has been up and down and almost flat for the year.
Maybe cracker barrel can sip bud light suds at the bottom of the cliff to drown their sorrows.
It is because woke City folks hate and discriminate against rural country culture. To them everyone who lives rural in the country are all ignorant Hillbillies who do not even deserve to live...

You could see how giddy she was to be embracing lgbtq- Amazing how giddy the left get over immoral and sinful lifestyles, and how they spit in the faces of the majority who embrace decency and common sense.
Its the definition of insanity- they keep trying the same disastrous campaign that has failed time and time again this king i guess that “this time, things will be different”
Maybe if they would fix that crummy food they serve. That might increase revenue.
So many threads on this. As I said in another thread, I guess I am an outlier. I like the new logo for the sign better. I also like the remodel. The old ones are filthy from the floors to the ceiling. I don’t get any sense of “woke” behind this.
In short:
New sign is better to me.
New design of restaurant is better also.
I wonder if this is about people just hating any change ever.
The older I get, the more I appreciate table seating over booth seating. Booth seating in a CB is a no-go.
They used to offer something called the Goid Morning Breakfast.
Was around 300 calories. 2 eggs, bacon, tomato...
It was perfect for us.
Haven’t been able to get that for a while.
After they axed it we stopped going unless it was to shop.
