Im not enjoying the free republic lime I used to. Too many newbies that are trolls, looking for someone to drag into their abyss of self hatred. Theres been a lot of posts linked to posters with no bios, I think admin needs to limit the number of posts or remove those without any bio info.

About 2005 during the years of the W. Bush wars here, I had a full biography with my birth year, place of birth, etc...and people started using the info to mock my posts. I took it all down.

Alex and Geddy are still around. They have shown up together at a few concerts as guest players (one was a tribute to another drummer that had passed away).
Alex has been busy playing on some others albums. He is involved in a project called “Envy of None” which is a collaboration of various artists. Most of it was done online. They are working on their second album.
The story of the group is perhaps better than the music in my mind. They have a long interview with all of the members, but basically this young female singer won a contest and one of the judges was in a band and she asked to be in his band for a week. One thing led to another and they got Alex involved.
Alex has been working on using the guitar to get “non-guitar” sounds out of it. Stuff that I couldn’t understand (mixing, etc.) He said all of the stuff on the album that sounds like a guitar is the other guitar player!
The young female singer uses her voice to make tones a lot to add to the lyrics. She would send Alex 6 tracks mixed together. He would put a bunch of his sounds on top of that and send it back to her. She would hear it and add more stuff and so on and on.
IIRC some of their songs have 80+ tracks overlaid in spots.
