EVOLUTION
Back when McNamara was Secretary Of Defense.
His "Whiz Kids" came up with an idea
That made a small bit no real sense.
"Let's make a plane that all services can use!...
We'll make it big, because bigger is better.
It'll be guaranteed to soil the pants
Of the North Vietnamese and Commie Bed Wetters
In Com Bloc Countries and Korea.
They'll never see it coming, but they'll hear it
Overhead and flying high and far away!"
First, the Air Force was enthralled
With Bob's Whiz Bang Theory.
Though some were rather leery
Of a plane with wings that swing
And Computers fly the plane and thus replace the crew.
It was such a shiny, wonderful thing
That no one thought to even query.
That the Overall Size and Gross Weight would
Dwarf and buckle a Carrier's Elevator.
So, with even the finest General Dy negotiators,
For the Navy the cutting edge "Universal Fighter" was screwed.

Go Home And Tell
Return to your own house, and tell what great things God has done for you. -Luke 8:39
|
Two young men had been friends from childhood. One was a Christian, the other was not. The second man was about to embark on a long ocean voyage, and the believer felt the urge to speak to him about Christ before he left. "I'll do it on the way to the dock," he promised himself. But when they reached the dock, he still hadn't done so.
He went on board to say goodbye, and thought, "When we bring the baggage to his room, I'll speak to him." But the porter took the trunks and suitcases, so they did not visit the stateroom. Finally he said to himself, "I'll be sure to witness to him in some quiet place before the ship departs." Suddenly, however, there came the announcement that all visitors must leave. Two months later word came that the man had died overseas. In Luke's gospel, we read of a man possessed by many demons who had been wonderfully restored by Jesus. In gratitude to the Lord he wanted to stay with Him to worship Him (8:38). But Jesus said, "Return to your own house, and tell what great things God has done for you" (v.39). Will you apply Jesus' words to your life and tell someone of His grace and salvation-beginning at home? Don't put it off. Tell someone now about Jesus! -M. R. De Haan, M.D.
To the work! To the work! Let the hungry be fed; To the fountain of life let the weary be led; In the cross and its banner our glory shall be, While we herald the tidings, "Salvation is free!" -Crosby
Any place can be the right place to witness.

Nose To Nose
Nose to nose and twitching,
For Spring is in the air,
And everybodys hopping round,
Without a thought or care.
Were practicing our cuteness,
A highly favored trait.
It gets you hugs and kisses,
And snacks that are first-rate!
