I'm sure we are going to call him Max. St.Louie wants me to name him Louie but hubby and son prefer Max. I've been calling him Louie/Max.

Like a proud mom, I will probably drive everyone nuts with pictures. :)

We have lots of room and he will be a big dog. But ..... he is already a people pooch. He is sleeping outside tonight. He will not get in a dog house but I put a cardboard box out with an old sheet in it and that is what he has adopted as his house.

This morning, he came inside to be fed. (Our Sillie Millie would be eating his food if we fed him outside. She already buries all of his toys. :)

He cried enough this afternoon that I brought him in. He went right to sleep. I guess he thinks as long as Millie is roaming around he has to go with her and he was exhausted. :)

He will probably be an outside dog that spends part of everyday inside.

Painting Nature

I’d love to be an artist
With paint brush in my hand
Painting all of natures beauty
Seen in sky and sea and land.
I’d begin with a morning sunrise
Using soft and golden hues
Then add a touch of crimson
With grays fading into blues.
I’d capture roses kissed with dew
Sparkling in the morning light,
And upon my canvas I’d form
The shape of Geese in flight.
I’d paint a colorful meadow
As it comes to life in spring,
And a nest of Robins so lifelike
You could almost hear them sing.
I’d paint an awesome waterfall
Cascading to a lake below
And far off on the horizon,
Mountain peaks capped with snow.
I’d paint mighty ocean waves
And a lighthouse on the shore,
All these things I would paint,
These and so much more.
But since I'm not an artist,
On down life's path I’ll trod
Ever in awe of natures beauty,
Painted by the hand of God.
