Yep ... we got a Lab this time.

It is for me and Hubby but I wanted one that would be gentle with a little girl.

I'm anxious to bring her over to see what she thinks of him. He is a yellow Lab but he is really pretty blonde.

We think he is cute. He still cries for his brothers and sisters.

We got our German Shepherd (well.....I got it, she's mine!) when Brad was one year. The "territories" had been set...that's been ONE FANTASTIC DOG.

I've always ALWAYS wanted a Shepherd...and I'll do it all over again.

Sadly, probably within a year or two.

If you introduce the dog to the baby NOW and make sure the dog knows who's boss, it'll be a match made in Heaven!!

Evening everybody! I've been in and out, and not much time left for posting. Hope everyone is still here.

Amy, that puppy is adorable. So here is a dog haiku for you.

I love my master;
Thus I perfume myself with
This long-rotten squirrel.

I lie belly-up
In the sunshine, happier than
You will ever be.

Today I sniffed many
Doggie derrieres - and I celebrate
By kissing your face.

I sound the alarm!
Paperboy - come to kill us all -
Look! Look! Look! Look!

I lift my leg and
Anoint each bush. Hello, Spot -
Sniff this and weep.

My human is home!
I am so ecstatic I
Have made a puddle.

Behold my choke chain -
Look, world, they strangle me!
Ack! Ack! Ack! Ack!

Sleeping here, my chin
On your foot -no greater bliss -
Well, maybe catching rats. . .

Dig under fence-why?

My owners' mood is
Romantic - I lie near their
Feet, expelling much gas.

Victoria, my victorious friend.....how are you doing? Are you having a happy weekend? We went to Loews today to pick out paint for bedrooms. Allyson is going with a soft, pastel apple green (maybe) and Tim and I want Robin's Egg blue in our bedroom. Jonah picked out a color called "Texas Toast". LOL

The inside vs outside thing is a difficult thing to deal with.

I vote outside but I have a 75 lb Lab that lives inside.
