FOLLOWING is a note re todays Alaskan quake. First a comment about this thread.
SOME FREEPERS are fascinated with fringe areas of reality. Some of us even think the fringe areas of knowledge, research, anecdotal stories and the like will have very impactful effects on the WAR ON TERROR, WWIII, Biblical end time events etc.
WE ALSO FIND FREEPERS FULL OF GREAT CREATIVITY OF THOUGHT, INSIGHT, WORK RELATED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS ETC. useful in collecting diverse puzzle pieces and in analyzing them. This diversity is priceless and virtually unavailable on any other site.
While we are seriously interested in topics which others scoff at, throw tinfoil hat assaults at and which we often even can't discuss calmly with many of our relatives and friends--we are either not all loonies or not 100% looney--though perhaps, hopefully, healthily insane in an insane society a la Eric Fromm.
Nevertheless, we do NOT enjoy nor appreciate hostile flame wars and the like just because we enjoy fringe puzzle pieces and analysis. Nor do we wish to cast the least bit of aspersions on FR.
I do not know how many of us will be willing to show up and post on this thread. Many are gunshy from all the flame attacks such topics typically trigger hereon. However, if my FREEPMAIL is any hint, there are plenty to be interested in such a thread.
HOWEVER, to whatever degree I may be graced with the ability to do so--this thread will NOT tolerate flame wars, flame posts, hostile jabs at other posters etc. I will do my utmost to get such posts pulled immediately.
The THREAT MATRIX thread has done mostly pretty well at creating and maintaining a lot of resourcefulness, creativity, camaraderie, mutual supportiveness and friendliness.
I hope and expect that this thread can even do better. Certainly I will do what I can to help make that happen.
If this thread flies and helps in any way analyze the WOT threats as well as natural disaster threats or any other plausible threats from 'reality' (whatever that is), then WONDERFUL. If it's just a good place to toss around the various puzzle pieces and their implications in a convoluted era and reality--that's worth some time, too.
If this thread dies and early death from disinterest, so be it.
If you have comments about the above, please post them! Hostile dereogatory posts will AT LEAST BE WHOLESALE IGNORED.

I recall reading somewhere in the last month, a prediction that a very major devastating quake on the West Coast or the Pacific would occur shortly after a moderate quake in Alaska or just south of Alaska.
We shall see.
Personally, I'd vote for keeping Jihadi's out of quake shelters.

U.N seeks aid to prevent W.Africa locust plague

ROME, July 5 (Reuters) - Aid is urgently needed to contain the most serious desert locust swarm of the past 15 years engulfing West Africa, a United Nations agency said on Monday.
The desert locusts have shifted from breeding areas in northwestern Africa to countries including Mauritania, Senegal and Mali and are likely to multiply over the next few weeks, said the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO).

I know the Forum well...I was a legislative lobby chair for the HEC committee on a 2002 state education bill...we had a panel of national figures (HSLDA & NHERI etc) and state home education leaders present our side to the education sub committee there and the place was packed with homeschoolers. The architecture is wonderful and the kids relished the experience!
By the way when the lights are turned on in the Forum the dome ceiling is a classical planetarium !
Perhaps it would be best to ask judicial meanz to relate those specific items to specific parts of Daniel.
Anyway--am planning to make it through the rest of the Daniel posts. We shall see how long I last.

One of the somewhat mystifying things to me is that Daniel was trained in all the arts of the 'wise' men of the realm--which were occultic characters.
Yet, Daniel (evidently) did not sin before His Lord.
Interesting.
Went through it but didn't have a lot of revelations.
I do think it's a great example of how we will be called on to be GOD'S AND GOD'S ALONE
in spite of the circumstances in the comming horrors.

though the focus is the stone, and we can see WHO it symbolizes by WHAT it becomes, the characteristics of each material - symbolizing kingdoms, is wonderful to see! these kingdoms are described again in another symbolic vision, later in daniel, and i think its very "faith-building" to see and understand these. god has given us his word to show us that he KNOWS whats going on, and what he plans to do about it!
(v33)ask; what is it about the feet that is different from the other descriptions? the other substances making up the image were "one", and the feet are a MIXTURE! now....does that mixture "mix"? this is important because god wants us to know that there will be no "oneness" until the end (the stone).
later, the symbolism concerning the dragon, the beast, & the false prophet (unholy/false "trinity") will change the picture somewhat - and thats ok! - it just may be a good idea to begin with beginnings.....because it DOES RELATE....and (just my opinion) it may be best to seek thru the confusion (faux pearls) systematically.....hence; understanding DANIEL. ok? Bibles for Iraq' Project Puts Word Into Welcoming Hands

(AgapePress) - A recent visitor to the Middle East says there is a huge need for copies of God's Word in the war-torn nation of Iraq.
Vernon Brewer, president of World Help, recently met in Cairo, Egypt, with a ministry worker who helps distribute Bibles in Iraq. He says the Egyptian "Bibles for Iraq" project director had just returned from a week in Iraq, where he was overseeing the distribution process of the
New Testaments the Word Help ministry is providing. "He told me that their convoy had been fired upon by terrorists," the ministry spokesman says, "and thankfully, they were not hit, but it was a close call."
Although Brewer was not able to go into Iraq because of security concerns, he says many believers are busy there. He notes, "We're networking with 72 churches. We're building a training center in the middle of Baghdad to train pastors and church planters, and we're distributing hundreds of thousands of Bibles. God's moving there, and
it's incredible what He's doing."
And Brewer says Bibles are in great demand in Iraq. "I've learned that the Iraqi people love to read," he says. "They've asked us for more and more New Testaments, and because it's open right now and there's no oppressive regime, many of them are open [to the gospel]."
World Help's president says although the official handover of power to Iraqi officials took place this week, the ministry will still be able to distribute New Testaments in the region because of its network of volunteers in the Middle East. World Help has also cooperated with national pastors and church leaders in other parts of the world to equip and train more than 7,000 pastors in regions such as Eastern Europe, India, China, Nepal and Myanmar (Burma) in intensive week-long Strategic Alliances for Leadership Training (SALT).
The ministry also supplies trainees with hundreds of books and resources to make their ministries more effective.
To date, World Help has distributed more than seven million Bibles, New Testaments, and books to churches, hospitals, military bases, public schools, and orphanages worldwide. As a result, the ministry reports that more than 35,000 people have publicly prayed to receive Christ --many of them individuals who had never before heard a clear presentation of the gospel.

Dear DC- It was a very creepy experience. Just had the sense that we are near the end.
I was very impressed by the structure---seeing it empty- with that mournful organ music- was the surreal part.
I would like to see that sometime!
