neb's dream revealed the kingdoms which would arise after him, symbolised by various materials;1. gold....2. silver.....3. brass....4. iron......5. iron mixed with clay. then the stone (v.34) smote the image - WHERE? - and then the stone became - WHAT?(v.35)

though the focus is the stone, and we can see WHO it symbolizes by WHAT it becomes, the characteristics of each material - symbolizing kingdoms, is wonderful to see! these kingdoms are described again in another symbolic vision, later in daniel, and i think its very "faith-building" to see and understand these. god has given us his word to show us that he KNOWS whats going on, and what he plans to do about it!

(v33)ask; what is it about the feet that is different from the other descriptions? the other substances making up the image were "one", and the feet are a MIXTURE! now....does that mixture "mix"? this is important because god wants us to know that there will be no "oneness" until the end (the stone).

later, the symbolism concerning the dragon, the beast, & the false prophet (unholy/false "trinity") will change the picture somewhat - and thats ok! - it just may be a good idea to begin with beginnings.....because it DOES RELATE....and (just my opinion) it may be best to seek thru the confusion (faux pearls) systematically.....hence; understanding DANIEL. ok? I personally PREFER when we are all 'seeing through a glass darkly' to state MOST prophetic things tentatively. I suppose if a God provided a burning bush that wasn't consumed, with a 'word,' that I'd be more emphatic. Short of that, I prefer to state things tentatively as impressions or possibilities etc.

Anyway--going to get my MESSAGE version.

Hmmmm. No brilliant new insights so far.

Did have one flash of a new thought. Don't know if it amounts to anything. The Message version says in 2:31-36 . . . "smashing its iron-ceramic feet. Then the whole thing fell to pieces--iron, tile, bronze, silver, and gold, smashed to bits. It was like scraps of old newspapers in a vacant lot in a hot dry summer, blown every which way by the wind, scattered to oblivion. But the stone that hit the statue became a huge mountain, dominating the horizon."

Missles involve steel and ceramics. For whatever that's worth.

Anyway--1John 2 3and4 . . . it sounds like you have a load of insights to share so I think I'll sit back and soak them up as you share them.

are the 10 kings in the various prophecies . . .

then the mixture is certainly plausible.

I believe that any AGREEMENT between quasi/former Roman C South America with Hindu India with Moslem Central Asia etc. will be tentative at best--particularly led by demonic forces inherently at each other's throats.

Now, what are the 3 kinds which . . . fall?

Europe could be gobbled by Russia.

North America could be gobbled by China/Russia.

South America would be easily controlled by others with more umph and arms.

Australia could be conquered or at least hemmed in by China.

Africa is likely to be a mess or controlled except MAYBE for South Africa. But South Africa may well be a client of Islam or Russia or?

Will have this 3 kings thing some more prayerful thought.
