Sensitive stomach?
Only to truly spicy stuff.
Other than that, I deal better with rough food than hospital fare.
Baffles the docs a bit when they find that out.

The headache itself first appeared after the skull-noggin meeting incident.
At first, it was like a concussion -complete with dizzyness and various other things associated with such.
But I've never heard of a concussion lasting for 3 years.
Which it'd have to do if hat was the reason for the headache.
At this point, I'll give anything a shot.
(Oddly, if I have chocolate the headache calms down a bit. Another annoying thing: Aspirin, Tylenol, and similar things rarely even dent said headache. And I'm none too keen on heading into anything 'harder' than over the counter Percagesic. Docs usually have to threaten me to get me to take meds.)

I don't have a clue why chocolate would make a difference, unless it's some kind of endorphin thing.

What does exercise do to the headache? Endorphins from exercise, if you can exercise, could reduce an annoying headache temporarily.

Something else you may not have considered, an imbalance in your vision system. A test for this would be to wear an eye patch for a time to see if using only one eye reduces an internal strain, switch to the other eye to double check.

Even with all that, I still recommend the vitamins and herbs. Doctors don't mess with those things because they don't want you to be healthy -- they want to charge you for making you feel better. (Follow the Money!)

Good Morning!

Mama_Bear is gone for a few days helping our son and family decorate and move into a new home. Since they haven't gotten the computers up and running at the new home, I have the honor of posting the start for the day. Sure hope that I do this right . . . as she prepared everything for me just in case this happened.

Mama_Bear will be back soon!

If I Were a Frog

I wish I were a bright green frog,
I'd sleep each day on a sunny log.
And for a snack I'd eat a fly
Whenever one came buzzing by.

I'd leap, then swim in a pretty lake,
And do frog things, for goodness sake.
It would be great but I suppose
That I would miss Spaghettios!

If I, too, were a bright green frog,
I wouldn't live in some dank bog;
Instead of eating bugs, I'd dine
On escargot and vintage wine

A treetop penthouse I would get
And not spend half my lifetime wet;
I'd hire a guard to keep my @$$
From being lunch for small-mouthed bass.

In Froggywood I'm sure I'd please
In "The Frogs" by Aristophanes!
Then I'd grow wings and never bump
My tender little froggy rump.

The Feet Of Judas

Read: John 13:1-20

I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. —John 13:15

Bible In One Year: Joshua 16-18; Luke 2:1-24

When we read the story of Jesus washing the disciples' feet, we may think we understand why He was doing that for them. John, for instance, was a close friend. Then there were Peter and Andrew, who had been so faithful in following the Master.

Each of the disciples must have had something that endeared him to Jesus. But why did He wash the feet of Judas? Jesus knew that He was stooping down to serve the one who would soon stoop to perform history's worst act of treachery.

Jesus was performing the most menial of tasks for a person who treated the Creator of the universe as being someone worth no more than 30 pieces of silver. Knowingly, the One whose name is associated with giving life got His hands dirty to serve the one whose name would stand for betrayal and death for the rest of time.

Doesn't Jesus' example tell us something special about service? Doesn't it remind us that we are not called to serve only those who are like us, or even those who care for us? We are called to serve all people—the lovely and the unlovely, the friendly and the not-so-friendly.

When was the last time you "washed the feet" of someone like Judas? —Dave Branon

When Jesus took a servant's towel—
His honor set aside—
He humbly showed us how to serve,
And how to conquer pride. —Sper

It's difficult to stand on a pedestal and wash the feet of those below. —Colson
