Obama amputates our nuclear arms

Under President Obama’s new policy, however, if the state that has just attacked us with biological or chemical weapons is “in compliance with the Non-Proliferation Treaty,” explained Gates, then “the U.S. pledges not to use or threaten to use nuclear weapons against it.”

Imagine the scenario: Hundreds of thousands are lying dead in the streets of Boston after a massive anthrax or nerve gas attack. The president immediately calls in the lawyers to determine whether the attacking state is in compliance with the NPT. If it turns out that the attacker is up-to-date with its latest IAEA inspections, well, it gets immunity from nuclear retaliation. (Our response is then restricted to bullets, bombs and other conventional munitions.)

However, if the lawyers tell the president that the attacking state is NPT noncompliant, we are free to blow the bastards to nuclear kingdom come.

This is quite insane. It’s like saying that if a terrorist deliberately uses his car to mow down a hundred people waiting at a bus stop, the decision as to whether he gets hanged or 100 hours of community service hinges entirely on whether his car had passed emissions inspections.

Apart from being morally bizarre, the Obama policy is strategically loopy. Does anyone believe that North Korea or Iran will be more persuaded to abjure nuclear weapons because they could then carry out a biological or chemical attack on the United States without fear of nuclear retaliation?

The naivete is stunning.

Jay Carney; of course; denied this; albeit; with words 'carefully chosen' and with enough space between his words to drive a truck of truth through; but he/his answer; was not, however, challenged.

This is a perfect ad for Repub campaign; the pictures of these Hero Seals - the electronic pen signing letter. A comment from some parents/families. . .

Expose these frauds - This is NOT a complicated issue; and so makes a easily understood point. Why do we ignore. . .(Yes; I can spell Sununu/Rove et al, Repub elite dummies.)

As well; this mission itself; was never fully explained; nor anyone held accountable for this disaster. . .

That too; could be listed; as a 'why' we do not move 'Forward' with Obama.

This story would move many; if only to vote against the Fraud-in-Chief. (But no; question is raised; Carney lies; 'end of story'.)

the left does, they never break stories, [can’t have them pissing off teir liberal pals like Beckel and Colmes’”hell ever heard them talk about the homostapo or how people are assaulted etc every day.
Even now a report comes out that more men have been assaulted by other men sexually I might add last year.

And to think some , well only a couple of them say they have no problem with homosexuals and cross dressers serving or getting married

A lot of people are contributing behind the scenes at various points in the information chain, including at Anti-Mullah, so I cannot claim (nor wish to claim) much of the credit except for the many hours a day spent by me on getting it all together and putting it up on the thread.

I have recently noticed several more visitors dropping by with a comment and opinion, which is rewarding BUT other threads like Mesta Machine’s are great and worthy of high praise. If my reading it regularly as a fan is any indicator.

Plus being pinged by well-established FReepers, keeping us informed.

I often miss news items so I try to have an “in case you missed it” attitude on Velveeta’s thread. I am just the caretaker trying to make it an informative and fun place to visit.
