SNIPPET: Al-Shabab, a militant Islamist faction tied to al-Qaeda, released a video of a man described as Mohamed al-Muhajiri, which means one who travels with purpose, saying he has succeeded and that he was calm rushing toward death.
SNIPPET: Al-Shabab, which controls much of southern Somalia, was recently placed on the list of banned terror groups by the Canadian government.
SNIPPET: His death could not be officially confirmed.
SNIPPET: The announcement of his death was posted on YouTube in a message that brought glad tidings to the youth in Canada. It advised them not to be saddened but to march forth in the ranks of the honest mujahideen in Somalia. It made no mention of when or how he died.

“Air Force strikes in Gaza”
SNIPPET: “IDF retaliates for deadly Qassam attack: Air Force hits several Gaza targets, including metal foundry, smuggling tunnel; Vice PM Shalom says Israel to offer strong response to rocket attack that killed Thai worker Thursday”
SNIPPET: “IDF aircraft struck at least four targets in the Gaza Strip on Friday, a day after a rocket fired from the Palestinian enclave killed a Thai worker in Israel, Hamas security officials and witnesses said.”
SNIPPET: “Israel also sent a letter of complaint to United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, who is due to visit Israel at the weekend, and to the UN Security Council.
A previously unknown group, Ansar al-Sunna, believed to share the hardline ideology of al-Qaeda, claimed responsibility for the rocket fire at Israel, as well as the al-Aqsa Martrys Brigades, a wing of the Fatah movement.
Earlier, Deputy Defense Minister Matan Vilnai said that Israel holds Hamas accountable for attacks originating in the Gaza Strip regardless of the group that commits them.”

Another Mossad assassination, this time in Hungary?
Posted: 18 Mar 2010 10:49 PM PDT
IntelNews got word last night that an unidentified Syrian man was shot dead in Budapest early on Wednesday morning, as he was driving his car. Witnesses reported that the assailant stole a small black briefcase from the 52-year-old victims vehicle, before fleeing the scene of the crime on foot. A few hours later, it emerged that, in the week prior to the mysterious shooting, Hungarian air controllers located two Israeli Gulfstream spy planes hovering over the Hungarian capital, close to the airport, where Wednesdays shooting actually occurred.

Ayman al-Zawahiri
Over the past year, Pakistan has suffered from widespread extremist violence supported by a concerted al-Qaeda political attack on the governments main institutions. The most extraordinary escalation of this attack was a 130 page risala (monograph) written by Ayman al-Zawahiri, entitled The Morning and the Lamp, which contains his analysis of Pakistans constitution. This document does not merely call for radical reform of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan along the principles traditionally espoused by al-Qaeda and its local allies; it calls for the destruction of the state itself. Econo-Jihad: Terrorists increasingly focus doing economic damage to West
Published 16 March 2010
After the 9/11 attacks, Bin Laden boasted that he sued an operation which
cost al Qaeda $500,000 to finance to inflict a $500 billion damage on the
U.S. economy; it was not a mere boast: it was an indication the econo-jihad
was an integral part of al Qaeda’s strategy to weaken and defeat the West;
“the economic turn actually influences the terrorists’ targets, which have
included oil-drilling infrastructures, tourism, international economic
institutions and more. Indeed, Islamic terrorism’s future devices will focus
on targets that will yield the most economic damage,” one expert says
Islamic terrorist organizations have set economic terrorism as their new
target, intending to harm and paralyze Western economies, the United Sates
in particular, claims Professor , a specialist on terrorism over the
Internet at the University of Haifa 9Weiman is the author of Terror on the
Internet: The New Arena, the New Challenges [2006]).

“The Jordanians are interested in the proposal, but there is a political
problem,” a Jordanian source said.
The Islamic opposition has warned Jordan against expanding cooperation with
NATO in Afghanistan. Muslim Brotherhood leader Hamad Said said a Jordanian
training program for Kabul would hurt Islamic interests.

The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) now has a man inside
the TSA, and that means the rest of us will likely be at much higher risk.
