Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.
The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.
The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.
Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.
McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

To conclude: I just proved that the Kos image is not a true copy of a paper document by demonstrating why the text on the Kos image looks so differently from the text on the new COLB image. I have ruled out ALL other theories as to how the Kos image got to be the way it is....

FWIW methinks AJSTRATA doth protest too much, diverting attention from the real questions. Why was the certificate number blacked out on obama's CoLB and HOW could his father's 'race' be shown as African.

The vital statistics data presented by the Office of Health Status Monitoring are derived from the information registered on the Birth, Death, and Marriage Certificates.
The birth certificates report the race of the mother and father, if known/reported. Race is designated through self-identification, multiple racial identifiers can be listed. The Hawai‘i State Department of Health determines a child’s race from the parents’ ethnic group following coding procedures:
1 If both parents are of the same race, child’s race is parents’ race.
2 If either parent is of unknown race, child’s race is that of the parent with the known race.
3 If either parent is Hawaiian or Part-Hawaiian, child’s race is Part-Hawaiian.
4 If either parent is Black, child’s race is Black (except Hawaiian and Part-Hawaiian).
5 If parents’ races are White but not the same, (Caucasian, Puerto Rican, Portuguese, Cuban, or Mexican), the child’s race is that of the father’s race.

Been following this thread since it began and no one has commented on the dates shown on the certificate. Other certificates generally have a two week period between the date of birth and the date filed or accepted so why is there such a short time frame for the man of no history? Being born on a Friday night it sure must have been a rush job the following Monday in order for the filing on Tuesday, August 8th! Did grandma rush to file after receiving a telegram or phone call announcing his arrival?
People have mentioned the curious trip to Mercer Island by Stanley not looking farther ahead. I believe that the man of no history was actually born at the Salvation Army home for unwed mothers in Vancouver B.C. before Stanley visited her friend on Mercer Island. Not only were her parents furious with Obama but they sent Stanley back to the mainland before her pregnancy became too obvious. Once she had her visit she rented the apartment on Capitol Hill in Seattle where she remained until after the spring session at U.W. returning home after Obama Sr had graduated and left Hawaii for Boston, an effective way to avoid him and whispers from others.

From all the US Census and Ethnic date I’ve been reading, Arabs have been classifying themselves as White throughout the years regardless of skin color or appearance.
The terms identifying Negros/Black is used to refer to the native Africans, which Arabs didn’t consider themselves as fitting into as per the Standards for classification.

The need exists, I think, because, IIRC, all that a candidate is required to do, is sign a document stating that he/she is qualified (?) to run for office.

There is, IMO, only one thing obama BELIEVES he needs to hide, only one reason to alter his FILED CoLB...without this problem, he could simply present the FILED document including the certificate number.

If his father, BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA Snr identified himself as AFRICAN-ARAB, that would also be on his passport. I think the 'race' of the male parent on the legit CoLB is shown as AFRICAN-ARAB OR ARAB-AFRICAN.

There was a home for unwed mothers in Seattle but the girls were encouraged to give the babies up for adoption more often than they were in Canada. Also bi-racial babies were more accepted by then in Canada.In the 50’s such an event caused a lot of comment, similar to the comment Susan Blake mentioned in her video. It was approximately a 100 drive from Vancouver to the Seattle area back then with negligible border security. Even in 1969 a drive into the U.S. from B.C. required only the driver to show his/her license while passengers were not required to show any I.D.
A flight from Vancouver to Hawaii (service began in 1955) took 5 hours and 20 minutes and wouldn’t have been a pleasant experience with a baby!
It wasn’t Hilliary’s people who did the nasty looking at the passport files, but people who work for an organization which supports Obama! I think some major scrubbing took place at that time! Criteria for a passport back when Obama got one in 1981 was much less strict than it is now and with the renewal option then he wouldn’t require more information to submit, just simply a continual renewal!

The definitive clue to that answer is to look at his name, his father's name, and the names of all his ancestors on his father's side. They are all Arabic.
Researching his roots reveal that on his father's side, he is descended from Arab slave traders. They operated under an extended grant from Queen Victoria, who gave them the right to continue the slave trade in exchange for helping the British defeat the Madhi Army in southern Sudan and the Upper Nile region.
It's not OUR classifications that count. It's what WORKS for them...BUT IN A POST- 9/11 WORLD, it's a terrible handicap for a man presenting himself as an African American.
His passport records were breached three times. January, February, and March. I believe all three were contractors, two of whom were fired. The one who was reprimanded, but not fired, viewed both Obama’s and McCain’s passport records.
At least three people have seen “some” record of the birth information he presented for a passport. Now it’s just a matter of finding one of those who will talk. :-)

The material you cite is of fairly recent vintage, i.e., past decade. In 1961, “Arab” wasn’t really on the radar screen at Census or Centers for Disease Control.

This report also notes that “Births in the United States in 1961 are classified for vital statistics into white, Negro, American Indian, Chinese,Japanese, Aleut, Eskimo, Hawaiian and Part-Hawaiian (combined), and “other nonwhite.” See pdf page 231 at same cdc.gov URL. You can be sure that there were detailed instructions/guidance to this effect for whomever was responsible for filling out the birth certificate form. Thus, whoever was coding Obama’s birth should have been following this classification scheme.
As many have noted, “African” is not a race. While there certainly are many Blacks in Africa, there also are Afrikaners who are white, in addition to Arabs, Indians and others who certainly would not designate themselves as Black. So putting “African” in the race field would not have made sense. Moreover, if someone accidently did this in field 8, they would likely quickly recognize their mistake when they got to field 10 and had to fill in the father’s birthplace.
I believe it has been established that Barack, Sr. was not present at the birth, so he could not have been the one insisting on “African” as the appropriate response. One would hope that Obama’s mother would have known enough about Sr’s heritage to realize that “African” would NOT have been a moniker that would please Sr. since many if not most Americans might well misinterpret this to mean Negro/Black, which apparently is the last thing Sr. would have wanted for his son.
In Obama’s account, his mother apparently was infatuated by Blacks, as evidenced by her reaction to Black Orpheus. And she certainly seemed relatively uninhibited about going against the grain. But if in Sr.’s absence, she wished to “make a statement” by listing the father as African, she presumably could have and would have selected Negro. Conversely, if she had been concerned about protecting her parents’ reputation from the “shame” of birthing a bi-racial baby (and there’s nothing I’ve seen that would indicate she thought this way at all), she would have been motivated to report “Arab” rather than African.
Thus, there are many reasons to view African with suspicion. OTOH, if the BC is entirely fabricated, who would be motivated to substitute this term for Black, White or Other Nonwhite? It’s hard to believe anyone would think it worth the legal risks involved in forging a document to change “Arab-African” to “African.” Thus, if the BC is fabricated, one would think that much more might be at stake. Covering up a birth in an unwed mother’s home in Vancouver would make a lot more sense than covering up a birth in an unwed mother’s home in Seattle, since in the latter case, he would still be a natural born citizen.

Just clarifying, the second cite I have was from 1997 where revisions to the classifications were suggesting adding Arab for it’s own classification standard and that was rejected. All the reviewing I’ve done has shown that Arabs used White.
This is just general though. Just to take under advisement in the Obama ponders.

Let's take the obama CoLB at face value. It's a FILED copy with or without a seal and certification signature.
We see it on his website fighthesmears - born in Oahu, time, date, mother/father name.
If the certificate number had not been blocked out, would anyone have questioned it?
Why was it necessary to block out the certificate number?
Because the certificate had been tampered with.
Removing the number invalidates the CoLB.
Without the number, it can not be alleged a fraud has been committed.
The only suspicious piece of information on that at-face-value document would be the 'race' of obama snr.
If obama snr, in his pride of arab heritage, in 1961, insisted on being classified as arab or arab-african, that alone would be sufficient reason - for a candidate for President of the United States of America! to both drop the ARAB and black out the certificate number.
