Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.
The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.
The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.
Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.
McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

“...You are alerted to the fairy tale element on the recently invented public story by the “on her way to visit Barack Sr. in Boston at Harvard” factor because there simply wasn’t any way he was in Boston at Harvard until a year later...”
Confirmed by Beckwith here:

“...After rejecting a scholarship at the Marxist New School for Social Research in New York City that would have paid for his family to come with him, Senior abandons Anna and Obama for Harvard in 1963, claiming there was no allotment for his family...”
Yes she does. She said she changed it and showed Stanley how to do it. See video.
Like I said in a previous post, I think Stanley just didn't want to change a dirty diaper and got her friend to do it.
...she didn't JUST change the diaper, she said she showed Stanley HOW TO change a diaper.
My error.
Me too but I didn’t. And I don’t think there were Pampers or Huggies in 61 either so not only did you have to change it, you had to dump it and rinse it out. Yuck! Loved my babies but hated their stinky little diapers.
Fine.
Who changed him yesterday?
I watched that video one more time, she says ‘late August’ obama was born on the 4th of August. Aside from what appears to be a woman attempting to show her superior knowledge, (here, let me show you how I do it,?) her delivery suggests (IMO) careful rehearsal.
Would it not have been far more natural to say ‘she came to visit me when the baby was only a few days (or weeks) of age’...yet, so many years later, she remembers it was ‘late August’
She’s got a better memory than I!
She seemed a bit, uh, rehearsed to me too.
The States do NOT require the candidate to supply proof, just a sworn statement that one meets the requirements for the office. And it most definitely is OUR business.
In 1961 there were no interstates. In 1961 the jet age was just starting and flights had many legs, shorter legs than we are used to today. Stanley’s trip, if from Kenya to Mercer Island — how long would it take? If from Hawaii — how long? How long to drive to Mercer Island from SeaTac, or from San Francisco? Diapers get changed every 3 hours or so. Who did she travel with?

That's one of the points I was trying to make.
All there were then was women stews--on BOAC; the stews would have changed all the diapers in the world. The women in his tribe would have taken care of her until she got on the airplane.
I am not willing to admit in public to having driven between Seattle and Vancouver BC in that era but let's just say I have first hand knowledge--freeways were under construction although the drive took a little longer then than it does now; but not much.
But I have good friends who flew between British Africa and the US in the early 60's to take depositions; that is how they went.
If she delivered the kid in Kenya in late July or early August, and she was going back to Honolulu, she would have gone BOAC through Glasgow to Vancouver; local transport, probably ground to Seattle and Mercer Island; then on to Honolulu through San Francisco out of Sea Tac.
...In other words, it really doesnt matter. He is under absolutely NO obligation to give a copy to anyone but election officials and since he did make it onto the ballot, he apparently satisfied the requirements of people who deal with such documents as their occupation. I wish people would stop trying to make something out of something that is honestly none of their business.
Must add, if that's correct, I completely agree with your comment:
The States do NOT require the candidate to supply proof, just a sworn statement that one meets the requirements for the office. And it most definitely is OUR business.
As an Australian, IMO it's the 'business' of every conservative in the entire free world!
I’m going to venture that Vancouver BC is less that 3 hours from Mercer Island...
Whereas, were the birth in Hawaii, less helpers to change the diapers? When she was late in pregnancy where was she living, what is the record, who was she living with?
Yes, it sure is the world’s business too. And especially our war-fighting buddies — you Australians. Thanks.
I rode with a client from Seattle to Vancouver a couple of weeks ago in two and a quarter hours and my client doesn't drive all that fast. (That doesn't include the hour wait at the border on the way back.)
In 1961, it would have taken around three hours, probably a little less. (But there wasn't a border wait either.)
Point is the route back from Kenya to Honolulu went through Vancouver BC which is why she was there.
It probably doesn't do any violence to that thesis to have had her do it the third week of August rather than the first. However I expect that some birth data will appear from the Hawaii records in the form of a mother affidavit or some other secondary recital which is likely to place Ann in Honolulu early in the second week of August. And the witness recital of the Mercer Island visit (Susan Blake) sounds contrived; it doesn't fit the mother having not yet adapted to changing diapers three weeks after the birth; and the reason (visit Sr. at Harvard) doesn't fit the factual record.
When birth records are ultimately obtained from Kenya, it would not surprise us to learn that the birth really happened in late July--he knows he wasn't born at 7:42 AM; he has some other time in earlier testimony (the 7:42 was what was on the fake Birth Certificate); the August 4 date may have been picked to fit a mother's affidavit filing. That is pure speculation but if an investigator were looking at Kenya birth records, he or she might look back into July.
While I'm somewhat impressed by the tools they use -- there comes out of it with a strong feeling that over-attention to a detailed process is not the same as over-attention to details. I've seen it before in expert work. Even in my own.
That is -- which details am I working with -- the external ones the client needs to move his product forward, or internal ones that fascinate the intelligent and curious?
The motivation of why you are looking at something, drives what you end up seeing. Even when you are an expert. The Hindu-Persian-Arab tale of the Blind Men and the Elephant gets only to the aspect of seeing what localized opportunity presents versus seeing the big picture as a whole. A more sophisticated version (which I am not aware exists) would have each blind man an expert at a certain type of feeling, as well as a political bias -- say one blind blind man is legless and refuses to imagine that the elephant's leg that he feels could be a leg, so it becomes a stiffened trunk. Or another blind man is a woman, and refuses to admit that the one part she feels is a sign of manhood, instead she insists that what she is feeling is a trunk that has become stiffened. And then there is one blind man, who is honest and correct about what he feels -- and he is at the actual elephant's trunk and calling it a trunk. But what all these blind experts from many variant expertises combine there results to see is a novel three-trunked elephant like beast.
That would be a more realistic telling, imo.
Nice graphic of various Hawaiian borders. I'm a big fan of good, informative graphics. LGF's little Texas Air Letter animated GIF was great use an arraying technique in new media.
The many versions of Hawaiian borders! Look at them -- they are sloppy, disjoint. Ugly butts. Not a marker of a bureaucracy that has its act together.
Raises a more general question of forgery, really. How can anyone trust ANY Hawaiian COLB, and related documents from that same office? They dump whatever some entry-level novice happens to MS-Paint on the form image! Not a good sign.
For what its worth I never, myself, cared about the border design, or even what paper. Neither of those is what makes Obama's COLB image a highly suspicious document, and still, imo, more likely a forgery than not.
"Social Engineering" is really a confidence game. A con.
A great con artist who wants a government certificate to say this and that -- what stops him? Direct forgery isn't needed. Just a bit of persistence and the gift of the blarney. A helpful office-worker will hear his tale of woe and help him "correct" the record. All for the good of the world.
