Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.
The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.
The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.
Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.
McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

Years ago I worked for a man who monitored the document security of a large organization. Their system involved frequent inventories to insure that nothing was missing. His pet peeve was that someone could take a classified document as long as something was left in its place so the count would be right.
I am concerned that possibly documents were substituted rather that stolen or merely read.
Yes, the Mombasa Birth Certificate. That one really caught my eye.

All that we are left with from this back and forth between the “analysts” is that you can’t authenticate a copy - especially a digital copy - of a document. And that’s just about where we were a month ago. “Joe” on Atlas Shrugs describes the steps he took to make what appeared to be a seal visible on the FightTheSmears image. I followed those steps and got the same results. It does not require any particular expertise to replicate nearly everything that has been done by the “analysts.” It takes only some image editing software and rudimentary understanding of how to use it.
There is only so much data that is contained in an image file, and only so much analysis that can be done. At this point, the people who still care about this seem to have taken one of two very fixed positions: believing that it is unlikely a forger would go to the trouble of adding a seal that is only faintly discernible, or believing that this only proves the cleverness of the forgery.
Absent a paper document examined by a third party, that disagreement won’t be resolved. Absent any actual evidence that Obama was not born in Hawaii (to date, I have seen none,) it will make exactly no difference at all to most voters.

Lest we not forget. Remember the passport brouhaha and how angry Obama got (it was also ‘deeply disturbing’? Then slowly after it was all three candidates passport info?

In other words, they could have broken in to erase,edit or create info... not take away (or both). This has to be investigated, period. Take this for example (notice which party they leave out, as well):

We need to know names of vetters, from who gave him his first driver’s license, school records, ALL passports held (especially which he used when going to Pakistan with his former roommate from college, as he wrote in his book, he was an illegal Pakistani).
