Blogger admits Hawaii birth certificate forgery, subverting Obama claims (Uh-oh)

Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.

The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.

The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.

Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.

McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

Then he ought to post them all to make his case. If he nows the forms varied, then that knocks down the ‘its a forgery because its different from the decost 2002 form’ theory. Until that time, his assertions remain just assertions.

This is a strawman argument. Nobody said it wasnt. Its known the original went through photshop to blank out the cert #s.

He ought to do the same analysis on the Factcheck.org scan.

The professor who filed an FOIA request made the argument that under HI statute, they could and should release his certificates and other supporting records because it is a unique matter of vital public interest. It would not set a precedent for the rest of us.

Given his position as a certified Forensic examiner, it may be he cannot release all of them, because he received as a matter of special trust.

The changes he notes when beyond the mere blanking out of the cert number in photo editing software. Besides exactly WHY was the cert number blacked out in photoshop? Better to scan it with a post-it note/tape over the number -- that way there is no post-scan editing that really ruins the "chain of custody".

The possibility may exist that Obama was born in Hawaii but I read the current record as casting real doubt on that question which is one of the two significant substantive issues, the second being, if he was born in Kenya, the marital status of his parents.

His first publicity line about illegitimacy is a bad sign because it indicates that he doesn't understand the legal or the practical political. Illegitimacy is the least of Obama's problems--no one cares; it may well be a plus on the eligibility argument.

True, I have no proof of what happened in the process of his getting a passport.

You have no proof that his passport says he was born in Honolulu, either.

All I have proof of at this point is that the man who is currently calling himself Barak Hussein Obama has admitted that the document he released as his birth certificate is a forgery.

So far he's only admitted that his mother's marital status was altered.

If that is the only thing he was hiding, he now has no reason to not release his true, real and unaltered BC.

You’re wrong! I saved the jpgs when they were originally posted and have checked the original versions via the method discussed to enhance the seal, it doesn’t appear on the first versions.

And if I wanted to I could even change the “seat imprint” to read “TOOT” Backwards so that it appeared to say “TOOT” imprinted on the opposite side.

Once you know what people are looking for it is easy to fool them. Dan Rather and his team of rocket scientists were amateurs at the forgery business.

It is embarrassing to watch FR do this. It doesn't matter where Obama was born. If his mother was a US citizen, then he is. Even if he was born in Cuba or North Korea. Carry on with the insanity. I sure can't stop it. But it's stupid, it makes FR look stupid, and if that's fine with everyone, keep it up.

I think that if a parent is a US Citizen and has a baby in another Country, the parent is to go to the Consulate in that Country and declare the child for dual citizenship and receive a "newborn passport" listing the child as a US Citizen born in Xxxxxx Country. What has occurred in too many cases is that this procedure is not followed and when said child wishes to obtain a US Passport as an adult, he or she is in for a rude awakening because he or she has not been declared a US Citizen by his or her parent.

Someone got the chapter and verse on that?

BTW, Anybody can SAY anything he wants, but that does not make what he says the truth and only turns him into a liar if what he says is discovered to be false. The onus is on the researcher, not the speaker.

Nope "They", that is to say us, sitting in our pajamas, haven't proved anything.

All we did was keep the spotlight focused on the problem, and got close enough to the truth that Obama was forced to admit he falsified documents in a fraudulent attempt to deceive the voters.

What else is he trying to hide? Is he admitting to a federal offense in hopes of deflecting attention from the BIG crime?

He doesn’t even have to produce a birth certificate. Hospital records, nursery school / daycare records, mother’s school records while she was a student - hard to have a baby abroad if she was in class the week before birth, for example.

But both of his Primary School Records clearly show him registered in Jakarta, Indonesia, as Barry Soetoro, citizen of Indonesia, religion Islam. And his classmates recall him as being a very religious Muslim.

Besides that fact that the subject matter is ridiculous, you probably noticed that the scale of the bunny and Rachel's heads are different.

If you looked closely, you might be able to discern that the bunny image has a higher resolution (pixel density, if you will) and a different aspect ratio than the Corrie head.

That tells you instantly that it is a photo(shop)montage.

The chunking of the images varies across the whole image.

Compare to:

Well, there is lots wrong with this.

If he was born out of wedlock, to a citizen mother, he may well get citizenship at birth (under 8 USC Sec. 1409(c)), even though he was born in Kenya. That doesn't automatically answer the Art. II, Sec. 1, Par. 4 eligibility test--but it is a leg up. It may make him a citizen.

Color me a little skeptical, but I don't think anyone is likely to care or be otherwise affected politically, as a result of the fact that he is illegitimate.

And by the way, I also tend to think that his parents were in fact married--in Kenya; which is where he was born.

The proper place for you to be having that discussion is on that rebuttal thread.

To be candid, something doesn’t smell right in what you’re doing and how you’re doing it. You seem to prefer to proceed in an underhanded fashion, as one who has an agenda. Your stated intention is to pull people out of the vortex, but your Modus Operandi is at odds with that intention.
