Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.
The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.
The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.
Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.
McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

Both dates are suspect, and we only are sure Barrack was born because we know of no other way people get here. Moreover we don't know if there really was a marriage nor where it took place. We have some sayso, some hearsay, about this date and that place, but there is no documentary support! Not for where and when he was born, not for the marriage.

There are claims that it is not real, but those claims themselves are not credible. Statements that his form doesnt match ‘real’ forms have been disproven on this very thread (and elsewhere).
At best, you have an argument that it *might* be faked as it is not hard to do such things on the web, and we need to see the ‘real paper copy’ to prove the veracity of it. And people ask: Why won’t Obama produce it?
Indeed! Good question! If Obama does produce it to the press, all but those of us disbelievers in press honesty will be convinced. But if he doesn’t, look at the advantage to him: All the Obama-’haters’ wasting their time on a rabbit trail to nowhere, instead of focussing on Obama’s manifest lack of qualifications to be President.
Obama’s run a smart campaign. Which is why, even though he was certainly born in Hawaii, and he has proven to 98% of the people’s satisfaction with his jpeg birth cert, he will not bother to prove it to the satisfaction of the other 2%.
Let ‘em spin their wheels on this fable, is his thinking.
Maybe let the fable fester, then lance the boil in October for maximum effect, call the doubting Thomases regressive racists and use it to ride sympathy votes to the White House.

‘case closed’ nature of the evidence that the Obama jpeg is *not* a fake. They found the bleed through from the embossed stamp, something that was ‘missing’ on early inspection that ‘proved’ it was a fake (that’s what Israel Insider was saying), and was actually there ...

None of the followups dispute that. It’s pretty weak indeed to fall back on image error rates and not look at the image itself.

The fact that one article chose not to give the marriage date is uninteresting. Perhaps they didnt want to make it explicit that his Mom married when pregnant with Barack.
The marriage date (Feb 2 1961), location (Maui) and its existence were recorded in her divorce filing, which (reportedly) was filed in 1964 in Honolulu. Obviously, there was a marriage, or there would be no reason for a divorce.

If I were a cop, I’d treat this as a tip, not as evidence.
Some tips lead to arrests and convictions, most don’t.
N&V, this is precisely one reason why I am sure this is a rabbit trail. Had there been a bombshell in those passport records, it *would* have leaked out somehow. The Clinton Machine leaves nothing to chance.
Conclusion: Obama’s passport has Honolulu Hawaii as Obama’s ‘place of birth’.

We don't know if they ever had a wedding, jumped over a broom, or shacked up and told everyone they were married (also known as a "common law" marriage).
