I have not been frequenting FR as much recently as I used to. Your post is disturbing.

Honest, I was just about to make a donation for the cause, but now, I have to reconsider.

Hang in there, your stuff is great.

As a member of the GGG list and also of the Creationism list, I’ve got to say that I’m sorry things have happened the way they have. Sorry to read about the keyword spamming. I very much enjoy the articles that are on the GGG list and hope you stick around to continue them.

Refreshed

Likewise, as a longtime lurker, I’ve enjoyed your threads. And likewise, I’m not optimistic. I quit donating a couple of years ago as the YEC’ers seemed to take over anything related to science, and now it seems confirmed. However, FR seems to remain a good source for breaking news, so I still stick around. I hope you’re able to keep posting your articles.

I dont support keyword spamming at all, but what you had to put up with was very small as a matter of degree compared with what the evolutionists have gotten away with for years at this web forum.

I think ID’ng who the source of keywords are, and ending the practice of anonymous mods would go a very long way towards cleaning this website up.

Who do I contact to advise if the mods run you off of FR I'm likely gone too?

Thanks, I appreciate that, even with the disclaimer — but the only way to fix this is to make sure the keywords accurately reflect the content, and that topics go where they belong, and that if there is going to be enforcement, that it be enforced all the way around. Posting the sources of the keywords didn’t accomplish anything constructive, nor in my opinion was it intended to.

The management here also requires science and astronomy topics to go in chat. The spammers are posting their spam right in the news section of the forum — and the response has been ‘bupkis’.

Thanks gleeaikin. I think the best idea is just to keep on keepin’ on.

I’m reminded of what William Jennings Bryan (a name which should be well known to all around here) said regarding something else — remove the cities and leave the farms, and the cities will rise again; but remove the farms, and the cities will perish forever (words to that effect).

I have always like your articles. Sorry about the disclaimer, just had to get that out there. The keyword spamming on any article has always chafed me ;0

Bottom line IMO, they need more selections here to put articles in (than the few that are available), that would end a lot of this frustration because a lot of it ends up being arbitrary, a judgment call made by an individual.

Thanks refreshed, that was, well, refreshing! :’) I was on one of the creationist lists at one time, but that list was discontinued at some point, and I like the FReeper who ran it (he’s still around) even when I didn’t agree with him (which was occasionally ;’), because he wasn’t trying to burn the bridges or throw gasoline on the fire or whatever metaphor may better suit.

Since I regard the universe as a creation, it’s tough for me to argue that I’m not at least a small-c creationist anyway, and I’m fairly sure that would be the case for an easy 95 per cent of all FReepers, whether they’re active or lurking or just post intermittently.

Since I regard Natural Selection as the Origin of Species as inherently untenable, but likewise am not a Young Earth Creationist, it’s difficult to see any purpose to the constant cr/evo “debate” that occurs around here, unless one thinks the alienation of most FReepers is a worthwhile purpose.

:’) Thanks colorado tanker for the moral support, and the suggestion of “Scotch unwatered and Internet unfiltered”. :’)

It’s not likely that we’ll be run off per se, but in case anyone missed it, there’s a subtle hint here:
