Well, there is an organization on Long Island that's comprised mainly of Shia' Muslims, which was highlighted by Stephen Schwarz in the wake of 9/11 for their work to confront terrorists-and terrorist sympathizers in America-through the espousal of moderate Islamic principles.

I'm not sure, but there may even be groups linked to the al-Khoei Foundation, which is a British-based think tank/philanthropic organization that is dedicated to preserving the memory of Majed al-Khoei-an Iraqi cleric who was hacked to death on the orders of Moqtada al-Sadr-in the United States.

As far as Brooklyn is concerned, I don't think that there are many other Shia' groups, though I'm sure there are a few Pakistani immigrants-most likely ones that own and operate bodegas/corner stores-who are not Sunni.

The unfortunate part of it is that most of the Iranians living in or around New York City are probably connected in some way or other to the Iranian government.

Nope, there aren't that many cute Persian chicks hanging around my neck of the woods, unfortunately.

I have consistently looked the same through my whole life. DeauxDeaux has some weight on her but my mom has a bad thyroid. My father's mother was a carbon copy of Sophia from Golden Girls. I've heard from guys that the wife looks like mom 99% of the time hehe!

I am also fortunate that way. But my wife works at it -- 2 hours of exercise every day, plus flamenco dance classes about 8-10 hours a week!

I, on the other hand, have to run 1/2 each day just to hold the line. My wife has a good visual filter to see me every day.
