Youtube needs to crack down much harder on vid eos that promote violent jihad. While the Web site has made some efforts to remove videos that violate its ban on terror promotion, thousands remain. Last week, Facebook accidentally deleted Sarah Palin's rant at/plea to Muslims (depending on your side of the fence) to oppose the construction of the so-called Ground Zero Mosque. On Sunday, a group called The Palestinian Refugee ResearchNet tried to make a Facebook fan page for its supporters, but wasn't allowed because a glitch in the system blocked the world "Palestinian" from page titles. (The conspiracy theorists out there can rest their tin-foil-bedecked heads, because "Palestine" made it through without a problem, and Facebook has corrected the bizarre bug.)

Well, I never would have believed that we would have a January that could top our December, but it happened!  We passed some important milestones this month too.  As Lady Raven, one of the founders of YouTube Smackdown told us yesterday, we we crossed the 500 users SUSPENDED mark – and - crossed the 20,000 videos SMACKED DOWN mark!   We also are the recipients of a really cool new logo, thanks to Freeper Insight, and I look forward to incorporating that into our daily posts!
