Children in Finland start school at the age of seven. They are only in classrooms half the time as most other countries. Its students outperform most others across the world. Why is that?

<p>School is out at Seaford Central Elementary on Thursday, but this will be anything but an endless summer.</p> <p>Pupils have just 45 days off before hitting the books again in early August, two weeks ahead of most other Delaware pupils. They're finishing school about two weeks later.</p>
