Children in Finland start school at the age of seven. They are only in classrooms half the time as most other countries. Its students outperform most others across the world. Why is that?

Perhaps Finns have a genetic advantage?
I looked it up. 96% of the population is ethnic Finn. That can’t be it though, because diversity is our greatest strength and so the United States is very very strong! Let’s keep thinking because it can’t be genes.

It's the blacks and Hispanics dropping US averages. Blacks are taught that doing well in school is "acting white." Millions of Hispanic kids have parents only semi-literate in their own language.
The Hispanics will eventually catch up. The black problem in this area, like most, is much harder to address.

The mind has habits as well as the body, and if those are never exercised or even positively discouraged (which would happen in many cases even by blacks raised by whites in our society), then IQ will suffer.
