Conservative talk radio in Wisconsin is different from what Donald Trump normally encounters. Hosts in Milwaukee in Madison are hardened champions of Governor Scott Walker’s reforms and don’t take kindly to Trump’s criticisms of them before Walker dropped out of the presidential race last year. “The hosts hear enough criticism about Wisconsin’s successful reforms from the left, and they’re not happy to hear distortions about them now from Donald Trump,” Wisconsin Lt. A liberal activist and her group are continuing their efforts to silence talk radio in Wisconsin. Upset that the state’s two largest AM stations, WTMJ and WISN in Milwaukee, have show hosts with right-of-center political leanings, the group Media Action Center filed complaints last year asking the Federal Communications Commission to investigate the stations and force them to give more air time to Democrats and liberals. Madison, Wisc., was a hot-bed of union activity last spring when Gov. Scott Walker moved to restructure union collective bargaining rights. In a long distance interview with The Daily Caller’s Ginni Thomas, Wisconsin radio host Vicki McKenna described what it was like to be in the middle of the “mob.” “It was a mob, with a mob mentality using intimidation tactics of 35,000 people,” McKenna said of the union rally. “And it was a rally of taxpayers trying to take back that capitol of about 15,000.” ...more (w/video)...

Mark Belling Conservative Radio Talk Host (Also Guest Host for Rush Limbaugh) on WISN Radio 1130 in Milwaukee exposes a Wisconsin union scam. Teachers retired and started collecting pension and health benefits have been rehired again as teachers for this year in same school district. This is double dipping and certainly is costing the taxpayers and also new teacher applicants that didn't get hired at a lower new teacher salary.

At a time when blogs, XM, SIRIUS and podcasting threaten AM radio from every angle, one would expect a sharp focus on what works, an effective plan of attack. Instead, the decisions become more baffling every day, with no sign of change coming soon.
