Conservative talk radio in Wisconsin is different from what Donald Trump normally encounters. Hosts in Milwaukee in Madison are hardened champions of Governor Scott Walkers reforms and dont take kindly to Trumps criticisms of them before Walker dropped out of the presidential race last year.
The hosts hear enough criticism about Wisconsins successful reforms from the left, and theyre not happy to hear distortions about them now from Donald Trump, Wisconsin Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch told me last week.
So Trump stepped into a buzzsaw in Wisconsin yesterday, when his campaign inexplicably allowed him to appear on several hostile talk radio shows with little preparation.
The most noted was that of Milwaukee host Charlie Sykes who masterfully didnt allow Trump to filibuster him and revealed the moguls petulant side.
But other shows were almost as memorable. Vicki McKenna of WISN radio chastised Trump for claiming trade costs jobs overall.
Were not losing manufacturing in Wisconsin! she told Trump. She then asked Trump about his recent retweet of an unflattering picture of Heidi Cruz, the wife of Ted Cruz. That line of questioning didnt get very far.
He just hung up on me, McKenna said on the air. Thats OK. He gave me 25 minutes. I mean, that was fun.
No one expects Trump to be making any return engagements on the top Wisconsin talk radio stations.
Who, who and who?
Like some nobody on a 1000 watt AM station in Oshkosh is really gonna derail the Trump Express?
What’s Trump going to do after he’s the nominee and the media really start attacking him?
Threaten to sue?
Whine?
Blame everyone and everything else?
I think he was just preparing to take on Hillary in a debate. lolol
If he is the nominee, the question will be is “Who are YOU going to be ankle biting? Hillary or Trump?”
This ‘story’ in all its embellished glory of no impact media gnats has already been posted this morning. Now just from those ‘unbiased’ buttwipe NR flacks.....
No thanks.
The interviewers on radio, TV and debates have only one thing in mind - THEY want to be the story.
At least he does interviews with hostiles. Unlike Saint Rafael Eduardo Cruz of Calgary. He is a pussy.
WISN is a clear-channel station based in Milwaukee.
Like they haven’t already?? More money has been spent attacking Trump than any other presidential candidate ever in the whole world!!
Even Jesus got to the point where he “answered not a word”. That’s a reflection on the character of the questioner NOT the one being questioned.
Trump was awesome in those interview and shows the voters he just is not afraid. If anything Trump skinned the interviewers and made fools of them. The other candidates simply do not have the guts or smarts to deal with these snakes and come up on top. Voters recognize this kind of courage.
This is a good thing. Trump and his supporters should welcome tough questions and rigorous debate.
If Trump wants to be president he will have to be able to handle people a lot more dangerous than a Madison Wisconsin talk show host.
Yes, yes, yes and yes.
Wisconsin is a hotbed of “Principled Conservatism?” Who knew?
As for Scott Walker, how long did he last in the primaries, a week?
Everytime I see him, he personifies the dirty old man!
Yeah, another purse dog yapping.
“The dogs bark but the caravan moves on.”
At least he does interviews with hostiles. Unlike Saint Rafael Eduardo Cruz of Calgary. He is a pussy
But what is he and people like you going to do if Trump’s the nominee and you can’t blame others for his actions any longer?
You do know we don’t elect presidents by primary elections, right?
Send out a flurry of tweets?
Threaten to sue?
Whine?
Blame everyone and everything else?
Other than the threats to sue, you could be describing Cruz.
“If Trump wants to be president he will have to be able to handle people a lot more dangerous than a Madison Wisconsin talk show host.”
Not all buzz saws share the same importance.
What’s Trump going to do after he’s the nominee and the media really start attacking him?
Read Dr. Seuss to them?
