BUFFALO NY--A pregnant woman was arrested Sunday after she left her four young children home alone to attend her own baby shower. Lillie P. Maxwell, 26, of Buffalo, was charged with eight counts of misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child. Her children, who range in age from 5 months to 11 years old, were left in an apartment strewn with rotting food, open liquor bottles and decaying uncooked beef in the kitchen sink, police said.
