Left-wing commentator and Harvard Law professor emeritus Laurence Tribe claimed Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Deadline” that President Donald Trump’s administration was causing “an impending police state.” Tribe said, “I been in school for 50 years studying the constitution, teaching about it. It doesn’t enforce itself. It takes human beings of character to take it seriously. And when for whatever combination of cultural and social reasons, the nation selects someone who clearly has no respect for the constitution, someone who is cruel, someone who is without moral principle this is what we see. We see a tinhorn dictator interacting with a wannabe...

Over 1,300 federal employees impacted by the Department of Education’s March 11 reduction in force received their official separation notices Thursday, according to copies reviewed by ABC News. “It is with great regret that I must inform you that your position is being abolished and you have been reached for reduction in force (RIF) action,” the notices read, in part. The RIF was one of the first major steps in massively reducing the Education Department after President Donald Trump signed an executive order directing Secretary of Education Linda McMahon to close the agency on March 20. Both Trump and McMahon...

BEIJING, April 7 (Reuters) - Threats and pressure are not the right way to deal with China, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said on Monday after describing U.S. President Donald Trump's "reciprocal tariffs" as bullying. The tariffs are "typical unilateralism and protectionism, and economic bullying", spokesperson Lin Jian told a regular press conference. He said that U.S. tariffs in the name of reciprocity only served its own interest at the expense of other countries.

Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz recently admitted that he can sometimes be a “train wreck” because he speaks “from the heart.” Minnesota’s Manic Marxist also told New York Magazine, in an interview published March 31st, that the Democratic Party lost the 2024 presidential election because it is too “timid.” Wow, never heard that one before. Tampon Timmy also claimed that Democrats should have doubled down on DEI and other forms of wokeness. This is the same guy who, when pressed during the vice presidential debate about patently false statements he had made regarding his presence at the Tiananmen Square protests...

We are all undocumented now. We Americans no longer have undeniable legal status in this country. Our rights, our organizations, our jobs, our health, our schools, our laws, our Constitution — all are now provisional, subject to the whims of the self-proclaimed “King” in the White House.

President Trump’s immigration crackdown and reports of an impending federal sting operation have sent waves of fear through Los Angeles’ Latino community — and even legal residents are on the lookout for the feds. Following leaked documents revealing plans for a citywide Immigration and Customs Enforcement raid at the end of the month, nervous Central and South Americans have been afraid to shop, use public transportation or drop their kids off at school, local sources told The Post. Legal residents with prior criminal convictions are also worried about being nabbed and deported, and even those with clean records have been...

Still, I am particularly troubled by the absurd claims that continue to pervade social media this week, fact checks be damned. Facts: I’m proud of the Clinton Foundation work that has helped tens of millions of people worldwide. Our impact speaks for itself. I don’t take a cent from the Foundation. Never have. In fact, my family personally contributes meaningfully to our work each year. Misinformation isn't just noise—it's a weapon. Efforts to undermine good work won't stop us, and we stand in solidarity with those who are committed to truth, public health, progress, and the endless potential of our...

One was fired by email at 12:47 a.m. Another wept with colleagues as security escorted her from the office. A third frantically tried to fill a prescription after she got a 24-hour notice that her health care was ending. Then there is Jacqueline Devine, a contractor in the office of H.I.V.-AIDS at the United States Agency for International Development. Ms. Devine, a behavioral scientist who worked largely in sub-Saharan Africa on H.I.V. treatment, was among those affected by an abrupt mass firing in her Washington office on Jan. 28. She received no severance pay.“I’ve been going through the stages of grief,...

Jim Acosta issued a bitter final diatribe as he confirmed that he is quitting CNN after being booted out of his prime slot. Concluding his CNN Newsroom show just before 11am ET Tuesday, Costa, 53, looked directly into the camera and said: 'One final message - don't give in to the lies. 'Don't give in to the fear. Hold on to the truth and to hope,' he continued, eventually calling Donald Trump 'a tyrant'. 'Even if you have to get out your phone,' he went on. 'Record that message. "I will not give in to the lies. I will not...

WASHINGTON — The White House is seeking to send a message to reticent Senate Republicans to get on board with all of President Donald Trump’s nominees, warning of political consequences for those who defy him. “It’s pass-fail. You either support everyone or you don’t,” a senior White House official told NBC News. “The Senate needs to advise and consent, not advise and adjust.”

Former Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin joined MSNBC on Saturday and lambasted her former employer, accusing the Washington Post of trying to “ingratiate” themselves with President Donald Trump. “They seem to think that their own press outlet should be muzzled, should be quieted, should not upset Donald Trump so much. And so you see, for example, the refusal to endorse Donald Trump, which was the editorial position of both the Los Angeles Times, owned by another billionaire, and the Washington Post,” she said. Rubin, a former conservative writer who announced during Trump’s first administration that she was no longer a...

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) criticized the motion to vacate that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is bringing against him next week in an effort to oust him from the Speaker’s office. After Greene announced at a press conference Wednesday that she would move on her motion, Johnson—who has repeatedly broken the Hastert Rule and caved on Ukraine aid with no border funding—called the motion “wrong.” “This motion is wrong for the Republican Conference, wrong for the institution, and wrong for the country,” he said, according to CNN Capitol Hill reporter Melanie Zanona.

Neil Young has grudgingly returned his catalog to Spotify. He removed his music in 2022 in protest against the streaming service’s exclusive Joe Rogan podcast, accusing the production of spreading “misinformation.” In a new post on his website, Young made no bones about his dislike of Spotify, but explained his move was a reaction to Rogan’s show becoming available on other platforms too. “Spotify, the number one streamer of low-res music in the world – Spotify, where you get less quality than we made – will now be home of my music again,” he wrote. “My decision comes as music...

Three women who worked in former President Donald Trump’s administration bleakly warned voters against returning him to the White House in 2024. They cautioned that he poses a grave threat to American democracy and some even mused about backing the Democrat option should Trump lock down the GOP nod. “Everyone who was in the West Wing, and frankly, a lot of Cabinet secretaries, they know how dangerous Trump is,” former White House Communications Director Alyssa Farah Griffin told ABC’s “This Week.” “This is not about politics. It’s not about policy. It is about the character of the man.” Griffin was...

SpaceX has taken steps to prevent 🇺🇦#Ukraine's military from using the company's #Starlink satellite internet service for controlling drones in the region during the country's #war with 🇷🇺#Russia - Gwynne Shotwell, SpaceX's president said Ukraine has made effective use of unmanned aircraft for spotting enemy, targeting fires and dropping bombs. "There are things that we can do to limit their ability to do that," she said, referring to Starlink's use with drones "There are things that we can do, and have done." This is f**** ridiculous. Today US Attorney General Bill Barr reportedly told the Associated Press that the DOJ has not uncovered any evidence of widespread fraud that would change the outcome of the 2020 election. Barr claimed that the FBI has followed up on specific complaints of voter fraud yet they have uncovered no evidence that would change the outcome. The AP reported today: Now we know why the DOJ didn’t arrest anyone for the past four years and why the Durham investigation came up empty. The reason is they wanted it this way. They never were going to arrest anyone. The only people...

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump said Thursday that he will leave the White House if the Electoral College formalizes President-Elect Joe Biden’s victory — even as he insisted such a decision would be a “mistake” — as he spent his Thanksgiving renewing baseless claims that “massive fraud” and crooked officials in battleground states caused his election defeat. “Certainly I will. But you know that,” Trump said Thursday when asked whether he would vacate the building, allowing a peaceful transition of power in January. But Trump — taking questions for the first time since Election Day — insisted that “a...

Have you noticed that people don’t treat one another with the same level of respect and civility that they once did? Everywhere I look, people are treating one another badly, and this should greatly alarm all of us. Perhaps we can blame some of this on the pandemic, because the restrictions that authorities have implemented around the nation have definitely put people in a bad mood. And of course the fact that this is an election year is certainly not helping things. But I am seeing people that are supposedly on the same side treating each other with extreme contempt....
