Nine British servicemen have been thrown off a nuclear submarine at the centre of a sex probe, after testing positive for cocaine while on duty. In one of the worst scandals to hit the Navy, the crew from HMS Vigilant – which carries the Trident nuclear deterrent – were sent home and kicked out of the service after the class A drug was found in their blood. They are alleged to have had drug-fuelled parties while the submarine was docked in the US to pick up nuclear warheads. One man is said to have had sex with a prostitute in...

CAMP FALLUJAH, Iraq (Feb. 21, 2008) -- If Regimental Combat Team 1 gave frequent driver miles for the distances covered by its units, headquarters company’s security platoon would have enough points to rack up quite a few free vacations. Security platoon’s mission is to provide a security element for the RCT’s Embedded Provincial Reconstruction Team, as well as provide security for the regimental executive officer, and any other such missions that may require the services of security professionals. This pivotal job requires the Marines of security platoon to work in every sector of RCT-1’s area of operations (AO). “We have...

1/22/2008 - ALI BASE, Iraq (AFPN) -- Taking center stage in helping win the war on terrorism in Iraq are unmanned aerial vehicles such as the MQ-1 Predator. Although the plane is small compared to the F-16 Fighting Falcon, it packs a punch with its vigilant purpose and silent victories. Since October 2007, the 361st Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron's two-man crews have successfully flown more than 300 sorties, helping to put a foothold on terrorist activities in Iraq. "We have made some close liaisons with the Army here on base and have helped them in a few very successful operations recently,"...

We must remain vigilant on bird flu, say experts Connie Levett Herald Correspondent in Singapore September 18, 2006 THE avian flu pandemic is still a real threat to world health and trade and should not be dismissed as a millennium-bug-type phenomenon that will never materialise, according to a United Nations health official. The H5N1 virus has been laboratory-confirmed in 55 countries and has caused 220 million bird deaths and 143 human deaths, according to the World Bank. I found out over the summer that a house on my street (just a handful of houses away) is now a "group home". According to another neighbor the residents are "highly to moderately trainable adults". Supposedly there is one adult supervisor there for about every 4-5 residents. There has already been at least one incident; one of the residents was off his meds, flopping around on the neighbors pool cover and wouldn't leave. I've just recently found out that one of the residents is on the Public Sex Offender Registry---his offense, criminal sexual conduct- third degree (multi variables.) I live...

ISLAMIC FINDER NOTE: please don't post stupid or inflammatory comments on this thread. The above link will allow you to search for mosques in your area. The reason this information is being provided is that we all need to be part of Homeland Security. We all need to be vigilant. Please do not violate anyone's rights. As citiziens, we can do our own individual part in the War on Terror. It starts, of course, by defeating the DemocRATS in November. But there is more you can do. Keep your eyes open for suspicious activity. Are there people filming buildings...
