Below is the Jew-hating caricature that greeted David Horowitz when he showed up to speak at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee on April 3, 2008.The students who distributed this hateful image of Horowitz with a hooked nose and a Nazi uniform were members of the Muslim Student Association. They had privileges from the student unions at the school that the kids who invited David did not. The chapter of the Hamas-supporting campus hate group was accused of tearing down 2,000 of the posters promoting his appearance. The cartoon also appeared in the student papers, the UW–M Post and on the front...

MILWAUKEE -- There were protesters outside the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's Mainstage Theatre, where Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was set to host a Fox News Channel town hall event scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on campus. Fox News Anchor Greta Van Susteren moderated the event. A FOX6 News crew estimated there to be about 70 to 100 protesters on hand outside the theatre. Most were a part of the group #WeLove, which was started on Facebook. An exchange occurred Sunday after a protester was seen stomping on an American flag outside the theatre.

A University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee teaching assistant is offering extra credit to his students—but only if they’re bisexual. In an email sent by Jonathan Dellinger to students enrolled in his public speaking class on April 1, the TA promised three extra credit points to any of his students who were bisexual. “I’m just writing to inform you of another extra credit opportunity (3 points),” Dellinger wrote in the email obtained by Campus Reform. “To be eligible to participate in this study, you must identify as bisexual, so not everyone will be able to do this one.” A student in the Communications...

University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee has revoked the charter of a fraternity after a party at its house Sept. 12 left several underage guests severely intoxicated and some with memory lapses they believed were caused by date rape drugs slipped into drinks. The university initially suspended the charter of Tau Kappa Epsilon during its investigation of the party. The fraternity may petition for reinstatement after two years; that would require approval of both the student association and the dean of students. The university launched an investigation after campus police took four incapacitated partygoers to a hospital emergency room. A university spokesman said...

....[Chancellor Biddy] Martin wrote that the request by Stephen Thompson, the state GOP's deputy executive director, was a legitimate request under the open records law. But she said the university decided to exclude some records for privacy reasons,.... "We are also excluding what we consider to be the private email exchanges among scholars that fall within the orbit of academic freedom and all that is entailed by it. Academic freedom is the freedom to pursue knowledge and develop lines of argument without fear of reprisal for controversial findings and without the premature disclosure of those ideas," she wrote. Martin added...

I am starting a Jewish Studies program at my local university in hopes of it being a springboard towards a masters of divinity at a local theological institute. However I fear the real risk of terroroism or violence in classes that will have a pro Jewish/Israel platform. What would some of you reccomend I do?

6 UW-Milwaukee students were detained this afternoon during a tuition rally, 15 of which were arrested. The rally began at noon in the UWM Union and moved towards Chapman Hall, home to the offices of many top UWM administrators, where the students were arrested. UWM Police Chief Michael Marzion said the various charges against students include obstructing justice and disorderly conduct. During a press conference, Marzion said that the protest became violent and students were attempting to force their way into Chapman Hall. He said that police made a decision to not allow students into Chapman Hall because a large...

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee shut down the student government Friday after its leaders refused to release its financial records for review. University police are investigating a possible embezzlement of $10,000 involving a student leader who has exercised extensive power within the student government in recent years. Even while under investigation, Russell Rueden, a senior majoring in political science, continued to be involved in allocating more than $9 million in student funding as president of the Student Senate. Earlier this month, Chancellor Carlos Santiago asked leaders of the Student Association, which includes the Student Senate, to turn over financial records and...
