JASPER, Tenn. (AP) — A Tennessee mother faces child neglect charges after deputies say she made her daughters walk to school. The Chattanooga Times Free-Press reports that 32-year-old Lisa Marie Palmer was charged after authorities found her driving ahead of her daughters as she made them walk to school. Marion County sheriff’s Deputy Chris Ladd, who spotted the two girls, says it appeared Palmer was driving ahead of her children and allowing them to catch up to her car until the kids reached the school.

It was a wreck so devastating that at first investigators thought two cars had been involved. The gray Infiniti G35 hit a tree in the center median at a speed that split the car in half. BEVIL OAKS - 3 p.m. update - The Texas Department of Public Safety says a man has been arrested on charges of causing a collision that killed a baby and his mother. DPS Sergeant Chuck Havard said troopers found 38 year old Ines Legarda-Quezada, 38, of Sour Lake, at a residence in Winnie at about 3 p.m. Sunday. Havard said doctors are checking out Legarda at Winnie Community Hospital because he was injured in the collision that killed the baby and mother. He'll be taken to jail on a charge of Manslaughter. FORT PIERCE, Fla. (AP) - The van in a rollover crash that killed seven Mexican migrant workers and injured another 12 appeared overcrowded and the driver did not have the appropriate license, authorities said Friday. A day after the crash ejected all 19 occupants and scattered bodies across Interstate 95, Florida Highway Patrol officials were trying to identify the victims, most of whom had no official identification.

<p>PORTAGE COUNTY -- A mother traveling from Detroit to Pittsburgh got into trouble in Portage County while trying to drive and breastfeed her baby at the same time.</p> <p>Twenty-nine-year-old Catherine Donkers had fed the baby before she left Detroit but said her seven-month-old daughter was hungry again.</p> <p>"I knew I was doing nothing wrong when I was breastfeeding her," Donkers said.</p> <p>Donkers doesn't consider her actions excessively dangerous.</p>
