Seventy years ago today, the UN Charter came into force, thus inaugurating the latest attempt to create a one-world government. Previously, the world tried to achieve that goal by creating the League of Nations — a weak, ineffective body that failed miserably in its charter to keep the peace. Actually, when you think about it, that perfectly describes the UN. But the League actually thought that a blizzard of paper could stand against totalitarians hell bent on world domination so they signed treaty after treaty, inked convention after convention, to try and stop the armies of Hitler, Mussolini, and Tojo...

Former Army Gen. David Petraeus , who has traditionally stayed away from political endorsements, appears to be eager to support a Hillary Clinton candidacy, a new book alleges. “She’d make a tremendous President,” the former commander and CIA director reportedly says in the new book “HRC: State Secrets and the Rebirth of Hillary Clinton,” by Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes. “Like a lot of great leaders, her most impressive qualities were most visible during tough times,” Petraeus adds. The comments mark an interesting departure for Petraeus, who, when it comes to politics, has typically remained quiet. The book, to be...

Two high school choruses will reportedly not perform with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra this year because their groups are not racially-diverse enough. WSBTV.com reports that the Walton and Lassiter High School choruses in Cobb County will not get a chance to perform with Atlanta’s professional this fall as a result of the determination. "This year, the schools were informed by symphony officials that their choruses are not diverse enough, and that the symphony would be inviting a third, more diverse chorus," Cobb County Schools spokesman Jay Dillon told the website.

It appears that the Obama administration is not only getting in the face of the American people with their immigration policies, but they are also running a little private campaign of their own when it comes to the border patrol. Instead of the border patrol doing their job in an aggressive case in public, they are now being taught to run away and hide and only as a last resort are they to open fire. Wait! No! They can’t do that. They are supposed to become “aggressive” and “throw things. You heard that right. Local 2544 posted a brief statement...

A chartered surveyor turned conman to cheat his closest friends out of more than £1million after he became convinced he had won the Spanish lottery. Stimpson, a respected chartered surveyor from Plumstead, used his good reputation in the community and a promise of up to 500% interest on loans to borrow money from those who trusted him most. Despite being warned by police in autumn 2009 that he had fallen victim to a lottery scam he continued to borrow money totalling £1,154,000. In July 2007 he received a letter saying he had won around 3.3m euros on the Spanish lotto....

Data on sales of previously owned U.S. homes from 2007 through October this year will be revised down next week because of double counting, indicating a much weaker housing market than previously thought. The National Association of Realtors said a benchmarking exercise had revealed that some properties were listed more than once, and in some instances, new home sales were also captured. "All the sales and inventory data that have been reported since January 2007 are being downwardly revised. Sales were weaker than people thought," NAR spokesman Walter Malony told Reuters.

Ari Abramowitz and Jeremy Gimpel are out with a new viral video, in wake of the recent events relating to the United Nations. "From Afghanistan to Zimbabwe, the UN always seems to bury any chances for significant global progress", explains Abramowitz, "and they do this behind mounds of useless resolutions and empty rhetoric." "On top of that", adds Gimpel. "they've made some of the most ironic appointments in the fields of Human Rights and World security, and so we prepared for the viewers a hard hitting, entertaining video that exposes who's behind the UN, and who's setting the international example...

If, like me, you scanned the crowds rioting at Penn State last night after the announcement of the firing of Joe Paterno, you may have noticed that nearly all the people there were white men. The riots were about white men not liking to be held accountable. As a native Pennsylvanian, I never once considered attending Penn State University. Penn State always seemed like a place full of cliquish white people recalling their glory years of making fun of the dorky kids in high school. More progressive white people and people of color went to big city state schools like...

Are you a sinner? Don't worry, there's an app for that. The Roman Catholic Church has approved a recent iTunes addition called Confession, a $1.99 app that bills itself as "the perfect aid for every penitent." As you can see above, it lets you pick a commandment and tick off all your sins, keeping a running tally to bring into the confessional with you -- a sort of anti-tasklist, if you will. Can't find your particular misstep? No problem! You're able to add your own, custom dastardly deeds, filling in those gaps the app's authors didn't think anyone would fill....
